There has been no shortage of power across the league this season, with guys like Aaron Judge and Mike Trout tearing the cover off baseballs. According to Baseball Almanac, going into Thursday, there have been 1,330 homers hit so far.

It is not just the amount of home runs that have been hit so far, it is how long they have been hit that has turned heads. Today, we look at the top five longest home runs so far this season.


Top 5 longest home runs so far, ft. Aaron Judge and Mike Trout

#5 (Tied) - Yordan Alvarez and Ronald Acuna Jr.

Both Ronald Acuna Jr. and Yordan Alvarez make the list tied at five as both hit home runs that went 461 feet. Alvarez did his on April 27, while Acuna did his on May 10.

#4 - Shohei Ohtani

Shohei Ohtani comes in ranking in the four-spot in this list. He holds a 464-foot home run that he hit on May 5 against the Atlanta Braves. The ball came off his bat at an astounding 110.6 mph.

#3 - Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge makes the top five twice on this list. He comes in at the three-spot with the slam he hit on Wednesday. Against the Minnesota Twins, Judge smoked a ball 473 feet.

The ball came off his bat at over 115 mph, which is absurd. That is something that would not be fun to try and catch bare-handed as a fan in the bleachers.

#1 (Tied) - Mike Trout

Mike Trout makes the list tied for the longest home run hit so far this season. He hit a ball that went 473 feet on April 1 against the Miami Marlins, with an exit velocity of 113.1 mph.

Unfortunately, Trout had surgery to repair his torn left meniscus a few weeks back. While he does not believe he will be out the rest fo the year, it is yet another trip to the IL.

#1 (Tied) - Aaron Judge

Judge makes the list for the second time with his 473-foot blast against the Houston Astros on May 9. It came off his bat at 115.7 mph, giving him the slight edge on Mike Trout's big fly.
