The Alabama Crimson Tide has been the home to many NBA stars as they spent their formative years honing their skills. A total 36 players have called Tuscaloosa their home at one point in their college career.

This includes some current players like Brandon Miller and Collin Sexton, along with former players like Robert Horry and Keith Askins.

#1. Reggie “Mule” King

One of the earliest first-round picks from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Reggie King, had an incredible college career. The two-time SEC Player of the Year averaged 21.2 points and 13.3 rebounds in his junrio year. That rose up to 22.6 ppg and 9.9 rpg his senior year.

The Kansas City Kings picked Reggie King No. 18 in the 1979 NBA draft. He later played for the Seattle SuperSonics, Opel Reggio Calabria and Sport Clube Beira-Mar.

#2. Robert Horry

The seven-time NBA champion spent four years in Alabama and led the Tide to two Sweet 16 appearances and win three Southeastern Conference (SEC) tournament titles. Horry set a school record for career blocked shots (282) and is sixth in the SEC.

Robert Horry was selected to the All-Southeastern Conference and the SEC All-Defensive teams. He returned to the university to finish his degree in the Spring 2021 semester.

#3. Collin Sexton

In his lone season at Alabama, Collin Sexton had incredible performances as he averaged 19.2 points. The former five-star recruit was selected to the SEC All-Freshman team and won the SEC Freshman of the Year.

Collin Sexton had his best performance during the SEC Tournament when he scored 31 points in the quarterfinal victory over No.1 seed Auburn. He was named to the All-Tournament team having averaged 26.3 ppg, 3.0 apg, and 5.0 rpg in the three games.

Following Alabama's second-round exit in March Madness, Sexton decided to forgo his college eligibility and declared for the 2018 NBA draft. He was selected No. 8 by the Cleveland Cavaliers and currently plays for the Utah Jazz.

#4. Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller averaged 18.8 ppg and 8.2 rpg in his first year at Alabama. He was named SEC Player of the Year, SEC Rookie of the Year, second-team All-American, and won NABC’s Freshman of the Year and Wayman Tisdale Award winner.

Miller led the Crimson Tide to the SEC Championship regular season title and was named the tournament's MVP. After one season, he declared for the draft and was picked as the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets.

#5. Herbert Jones

In his senior season, Herbert Jones averaged 11.2 ppg and 6.6 rpg as he led Alabama to its first SEC championship in 2021, its first since 1991. He earned SEC Player of the Year and SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors while also making his second appearance in the All-SEC Defensive team.

The New Orleans Pelicans picked Herbert Jones No. 35 in the 2021 NBA draft.
