Unlike the other two Minecraft capes that came with the condition of using streaming services such as Twitch and TikTok, Mojang Studios have finally released a cape that can be claimed just by using your Mojang account, the same account you use to play the game.

Follow these steps to claim Minecraft anniversary creeper cape:

1. All you need to do is head over to Minecraft official website.
2. Here, you will see a button that says ‘Celebrate with us’ on the very top right of the webpage. A quirky easter egg that you may notice is the mouse cursor changes to a diamond pickaxe.
3. Click on that button and you will be taken to another page.
4. Scroll down until you find the creeper cape’s image.
5. On the right side of the image, sign in to your Minecraft account.
6. Click on Claim the Cape button.

Equipping the creeper cape is just as easy as claiming it. If you are on the Java Edition, here are the steps to do it:

1. Open Minecraft Launcher and switch over to the ‘Skins’ tab.
2. Click on the ‘New Skin’ option to create a new one.
3. Edit the new skin by hovering over the “...” option, which will open a menu.
4. Select ‘Edit’ from the menu and add the creeper cape. That’s it! You now have a brand new cape.

For Bedrock Edition, head over to the changing room from the game menu and select the creeper cape to equip it.
