BTS member, Park Jimin, is often lauded for his philanthropic endeavors apart from his music and dance prowess. The singer-songwriter has donated to charity organizations, provided desks and chairs for students at his alma mater, Busan Arts High School, and a lot more. All these donations by the BTS singer were made with the help of his father, Park Hyun-soo.
Meanwhile, Park Hyun-soo has stepped up on various occasions to make donations on behalf of his son. The artist's dad also went out of his way to strike an arrangement with Archieve4H Hotel to cover the cost of accommodation for BTS ARMYs traveling to Busan in January 2024. He announced it through his café's official Instagram account (@zm_illennial_official). However, the post has been taken down as of May 18, 2024.

7 times BTS Jimin's father touched the hearts of fans worldwide
Several times the BTS idol Jimin's father, Park Hyun-soo, has made donations to education sectors and children in need. Here's a list of seven occasions when Jimin's father shared his son's passion for philanthropy and tugged at the heartstrings of the BTS ARMY:
1) "The Ramen Fairy"
On September 3, 2023, it was disclosed by Nam District, Busan that Jimin's father had been providing food donations to families with limited incomes in the area for the previous three years, starting in September 2020. He earned the nickname "The Ramen Fairy" due to his secret contributions.
Times Now also reported that Park Hyun-soo donated over 100 canned tuna gift sets and 5,250 boxes of instant noodles, totaling roughly KRW 75.95 million (approximately US $57,650). His father made another KRW 5 million donation in August 2023 to the same organization to help the needy.
2) Giving BTS albums to help children in need
According to Koreaboo, the FACE musician's father donated a signed MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona album copies to Beautiful Store, in November 2020. The children of low-income families, affected by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, were provided with all revenues from the album's resale as well as other products.
For the unversed, Beautiful Store is a nonprofit organization and charity business located in Korea and currently runs more than 100 stores across the country.
3) Donation to the Department of Physical Therapy at Dongeui Science University
In March 2024, Park Hyun-soo donated to the Department of Physical Therapy at Dongeui Science University to sponsor a student's education. Titled the "BTS Jimin Scholarship", the artist's father got in touch with the college professor to contribute on behalf of his son who has been serving in the military since December 2023. The University published the details on its official website to express gratitude toward Jimin and his father.
4) Donation of BTS CDs & school uniform costs for all graduating students
In February 2018, Park Hyun-soo made another contribution to Jimin's childhood school, Hoedong Elementary School in Busan. The school closed its doors on February 20 after 36 years.
BigHit Entertainment (now HYBE) confirmed that the singer’s father made the donation as he was emotional to see his son's childhood school closed down. This noble act was done under Jimin's name and included signed BTS albums. The artist covered the cost of school uniforms for all graduating students.
5) Donation of 1,200 desks and chairs for Busan High School of Arts
In February 2020, SBS reported that Park Hyun-soo contributed around 1,200 brand-new desks and chairs to the students at Busan High School of Arts, his son's alma mater. The donation was again made in the name of the BTS idol since the artist is known to have studied there for about a year and a half before he joined BigHit Entertainment to train and debut as BTS.
6) Contribution of KRW 100 million to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education
In September 2023, Jimin's father made another secret donation under the singer's name. He gave 100 million won (approximately $75,850) to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education. Chairman of the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation, Jang Seok-woong, announced that the donation would be utilized wisely to spread Jimin's positive effect among the 220,000 students.
7) Donation of KRW 100 million to the South Jeolla Office of Education
Park Hyun-soo, Jimin's father, discreetly gave a KRW 100 million (USD 73,833.98) contribution to the South Jeolla Office of Education on July 29, 2020, in honor of his son. The Office of Education confirmed the good deed later in August of the same year.
On May 10, 2024, ICON POLLS crowned the Grammy-nominated artist as "The Face of K-pop." The platform also donated KRW 700,000 on his behalf to sponsor a Sri Lankan child's education and needs for an entire year.
