In a recent "NHL on TNT" segment, Paul Bissonnette and Liam McHugh found themselves at the receiving end of some messy surprises.
After losing their friendly bets on the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Islanders during the playoffs, the sports mascot decided to give them a pie in the face as a playful punishment.
McHugh was the first in line at the receiving end of the Atlanta Braves mascot, Blooper. Meanwhile, Bissonnette had a pie smashed into his face by none other than the arch-nemesis Seattle Kraken mascot, Buoy.

There's an amusing scoop behind this entertaining moment. Liam McHugh, a die-hard Islanders fan, and Paul Bissonnette, a loyal Maple Leafs supporter, made a friendly bet on which teams would go further in the playoffs.
The conditions were if the Maple Leafs advanced, McHugh would have to get a Leafs tattoo and wear a Canadian tuxedo. On the other hand, if the Islanders made it further, Bissonnette would have to get the Islanders' tattoo and receive a pie to the face.
However, since both the Islanders and Maple Leafs failed to progress beyond Round 1, fans were given the monopoly to decide the outcome of the bet between the two analysts.
The fans went for an amusing way to settle the bet. They decided that both McHugh and Bissonnette should get pied in the face by the mascots.
Paul Bissonnette once called Buoy the "ugliest" mascot in sports history
Back in October 2023, Bissonnette took to X/Twitter and called Buoy, the official mascot of the Seattle Kraken, the "ugliest" mascot in professional sports:
"Ugliest mascot in all professional sports. I’ll pay any other mascot to take it out," Bissonnette wrote.
Buoy decided to take revenge and confronted Bisonnette in the studio during a Winter Classic segment on "NHL on TNT" in January.
Buoy delivered punches at "Biz," who, in response, didn't back down and fought back by throwing a microphone at the mascot's head. Eventually, Bissonnette managed to take down Buoy with a huge shoulder tackle.
He was pumped up and even dropped The Rock's famous "The People's Elbow" on Buoy's head, ending the skirmish with a win.
