Love Undercover, Peacock's latest dating reality show, featured five international soccer players vying for love. The famed athletes wanted to find partners who loved them for who they were and not what they had, and they adopted different personas during the show.

One of the cast members who appeared on the show was Marco Fabián, a Mexican soccer player and Olympic gold medalist who is a midfielder for FC Rangers. The 34-year-old footballer, along with cast members Ryan Babel and Jamie O'Hara, recently spoke to Pop Culturalist about their time on Love Undercover.

During the conversation, the cast was asked about taking time off during the off-season to appear on the show, and Marco said:

"To be a part of this project was amazing because of the off-season and take part and to take this decision was very good. I have no regrets."

He further said that he was "really happy" and called it a "new challenge" for himself since he never imagined himself being a part of a reality show.

During the conversation, the Love Undercover cast member also said that when he was offered to do the show, his mind was still on "soccer." Marco said it was a little difficult for him to make up his mind, but he decided to be open and tried to be himself during the Peacock show.

The soccer player noted it was a good decision since he met such "good people" and good women. He added that after the reality show, he came back to Mexico and was still playing but would always remember his time on Love Undercover. Marco called it the "best decision" ever.

Ryan Babel was asked who among the cast members was most likely to "blow their cover," and he said that initially he thought Marco since the show was filmed in Los Angeles, where there is a big Mexican population.

"We knew already that could be a problem if he would go out," he said.

The cast member further said that the other cast member likely to have blown his cover was Lloyd Jones, since he had trouble under pressure. Jamie O'Hara was asked what the most surprising part of the Peacock show was and what he learned about himself.

"Going into it, it's obviously really difficult to know if people are going to like you for you, you know? You're going undercover. Normally you're being around people who instantly know who you are, they have a perception of you."

Jamie added that the people usually already have answers to a lot of questions before he would even speak to them. The athlete added that, having gone undercover, he had to learn a lot about himself and see his "true personality."

He added that the one thing he was worried about was whether people would like him as just himself and not the footballer in him.

Marco was further asked about his time on the show, and the Mexican soccer player said that 30 days were not "easy" to find love and a "real connection" and noted that it wasn't easy. He added that he found a great connection with someone, but it was more friendly than romantic.

He further said that on Love Undercover, he shared important things about his life with the female cast members as well as with the guys, which is what he liked about the Peacock reality show. Ryan was then asked which one was easier, competing on the field or finding love. The host jokingly asked him whether he had written a song about the experience yet.

Ryan noted that while he hadn't written a song about the experience, he had new music coming out soon. Answering the host's question, he said that by dating in the real world, they could leverage their careers and achievements, which wasn't possible in the show.

Episodes of Love Undercover are available to stream on Peacock.
