AEW Grand Slam came to Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City last week. This was a homecoming for many stars on the roster, who enjoyed the audience's reactions in their home state for the first time in a while. It’s been a hard year for a lot of people, but the stadium crowd came alive with AEW in town.

The event featured New York's own Proud and Powerful, Private Party, Eddie Kingston, and a surprise appearance from Homicide.

Some talent brought the big guns out when it came to attire, while others didn’t. This listicle will focus on the best looks from male and female wrestlers during AEW Grand Slam week.

#7. Anna Jay: Represented The Dark Order at AEW Grand Slam

Since Anna Jay’s return to AEW, she has been serving looks. During AEW Grand Slam, #99 would embrace the look of her tag partner, Tay Conti, as well as the color palette of The Dark Order in her attire.

This black, purple, and silver attire seemed absolutely stunning, which embraced her faction’s history and gave a little nod to the late Brodie Lee, who will always be The Dark Order’s leader.

Along with the use of color and the inclusion of stars, Anna Jay accessorized with fishnet tights, worn in a similar fashion to Conti and a harness bra, which brought a touch of something a little more subversive to her usual good girl style.

Anna Jay is embracing her womanhood while also becoming a force to be reckoned with in the ring.

#6. Brian Pillman Jr.: Cincinnati Pride

Brian Pillman Jr. rocked the traditional black and orange of the Cincinnati Bengals on AEW Grand Slam. His feud with MJF started in Cincinnati and has taken them to New Jersey and New York City.

Pillman Jr. also represented his father, Brian Pillman, in this look, as the latter was a special team player for the Cincinnati Bengals before he became a pro wrestler.

The greatest thing about Pillman Jr. is his willingness to pay tribute to his father while also still being true to himself.

#5. CM Punk: The Return of the Trunks

CM Punk brought back his old look at AEW Grand Slam. Everyone was surprised at AEW All Out when he chose to wear tights during his in-ring return as opposed to his traditional trunks.

The former WWE Superstar's fans seemed very happy when he returned to his trunks during his second-ever AEW match while still sporting the red stars and blue stripes of Chicago.

On top of this, we got to see CM Punk's range of tattoos, which is always lots of fun for fans of tattoo art and punk music.

#4. Ruby Soho: Embraced the History of Punk at AEW Grand Slam

Ruby Soho really dressed to impress during AEW Grand Slam, as she faced off against AEW Women’s Champion Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. for the title.

She brought denim to AEW, with its distressed look incorporating patches of different colors of blue and white. Her new jacket made denim cool again, as its use of punk rock band patches and safety pins embraced the DIY ethos of the punk lifestyle.

She accessorized with a black beanie to make the look feel like an everyday outfit, something anyone could wear.

#3. Santana and Ortiz: Here Come the Yankees

For their match at AEW Grand Slam, Santana and Ortiz came to the ring with their names embroidered onto New York Yankees-inspired baseball shirts.

After all, Proud and Powerful grew up in New York City. And in big moments throughout their careers, they have always represented their love of the city and the sports teams there.

The team accessorized with a black baseball bat, bottles of beer, and handkerchiefs that also showed their Puerto Rican heritage.

#2. FTR: Invoked the History of The Icon at AEW Grand Slam

FTR yet again invoked the legendary team of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in their attire at AEW Grand Slam. When Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler first appeared in AEW, they wore all denim, just like The Outsiders did on their debut in WCW.

This time, however, FTR took inspiration from one of the most successful periods in WCW history, and a time that helped create the Sting we know today. Their look seemed heavily inspired by the nWo, which was one of the most popular factions in pro wrestling.

FTR adorned their gear with their names and stuck to black and leather while facing Sting and Darby Allin at AEW Grand Slam.

#1. Bryan Danielson: Enter The Dragon

The American Dragon is back and this was reflected in his choice of attire against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega during AEW Grand Slam.

His ring gear was in a deep shade of maroon with silver scale detailing that ran through from his trunks down to his shinpads. There was also a subtle nod to the American Dragon persona on his shinpad, with a black dragon swirling up from his boots.

The use of white pipping completed the outfit, which made the colors pop and also created a streamlined look.
