Bully Ray wants former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion to "immediately" announce AEW All In debut

With AEW All In just a few months away, two WWE legends have chimed in on who they would like to see appear at the monumental event. The major caveat is that the star in question is not signed to the promotion and recently suffered an injury.

At the recent NJPW Resurgence pay-per-view, Mercedes Moné suffered a potentially serious injury. In the show's main event, she faced Willow Nightingale to crown the first-ever NJPW Strong Women's Champion. However, Moné seemingly broke her ankle in the bout and had to be carried backstage once it concluded.

WWE veterans Bully Ray and Mark Henry estimate that she will be out of action for about four to six months, but are hopeful that she can make a speedy recovery to appear at AEW All In. Bully Ray said the following on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio:

“If I knew right now that Mercedes Moné had a shot in hell of being at Wembley, knowing that I'm at about [68,000 tickets] sold... I'd have her release a video on social media immediately saying, 'You know what? This injury is not keeping me down. I will see you in Wembley on August [27th]." (H/T Wrestling Inc.)

Mark Henry agreed with this sentiment, noting that announcing Moné's debut would likely sell a further 10,000 seats for the event. However, only time will tell whether The CEO will be healthy enough to appear at the show.

Possible reason why Mercedes Moné is hesitant to sign with AEW revealed

Fans have been clamoring to see Mercedes Moné show up on AEW television since her infamous departure from WWE last year. Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has indicated a possible reason why this has not happened yet, noting that Moné may have her eyes set on a return to the Stamford-based promotion somewhere down the line:

"I think she’s got the power to negotiate for three [years]. I’m sure AEW would want her for five [years]. But that would mean WWE is out of the question for many, many years. But she’s injured, but – broken ankle, you’ll be back. (…) As far as a free agent that’s out there, her and [CM] Punk would be the two biggest ones." [21:03 onward]

Whether she eventually makes her way to Tony Khan's promotion remains to be seen. Nonetheless, her star power and popularity continue to grow outside of WWE's walls.
