Thiago Silva's wife has given an important update on the player's future at Chelsea

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva's wife Isabelle (Bella) has said that the player does not have any plans to leave the club, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist posted a tweet with her quote, which read:

“We don’t have any plans to leave Chelsea, we are really enjoying it here and Thiago still has a contract.”

Silva joined the Blues in 2019 as a free agent after expiring his contract at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The veteran defender became an integral player under Thomas Tuchel and has continued to demonstrate his leadership at the back under Graham Potter as well.

In his time with the club, Silva has made 93 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and laying out five assists. He has lifted the UEFA Champions League title, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea.

With his current contract set to expire this season, there has been some talk about an extension as well as some rumblings about his future. Silva turned 38 last month, but remains a key figure for club and country.

Bella's recent quote suggests that the player has no plans to leave, but it remains to be seen what the Blues will make of the situation.

Who is Thiago Silva's wife Isabelle?

Isabelle, otherwise known as Bella, is a digital influencer. She has been married to Thiago Silva for over 15 years and the couple have two kids together. Bella has over 450,000 followers on her Instagram account and is also a model.

She also has her own line of clothing and is a regular on her own YouTube channel.

Chelsea turning things around under Graham Potter

Chelsea are slowly starting to look like the real deal under new boss Graham Potter, who is yet to taste defeat since taking over from Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues have won three Premier League games and two Champions League games under Potter, drawing their other European match against RB Salzburg. They have kept four clean sheets in their last five games, conceding only against Crystal Palace.

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been in fine form since being restored to the starting line-up, with his heroics keeping Aston Villa at bay on Sunday, October 16. The Blues registered a 2-0 win in the Premier League encounter at Villa Park, courtesy of a brace from Mason Mount.

Chelsea will take on Brentford before hosting Manchester United over the weekend in their next two league fixtures.
