"Hopefully I just play some boring golf tomorrow": Hannah Green eyes title defence amidst Australian showdown at 2024 JM Eagle LA Championship

After securing a share of the lead at the JM Eagle LA Championship, Hannah Green expressed her hope for more consistency in the final round as she aims to defend her title on Sunday, April 28th.

On Saturday, Apr. 27, Green carded a 1-under 70 to aggregate at 7-under, sharing the 54-hole lead. Her third round was a mixed bag, with three birdies and one eagle countered by four bogeys. Despite being seven under after thirteen holes, she struggled on the final five holes of her round, resulting in three bogeys.

In the post-round interview, the 27-year-old Australian golfer admitted feeling exhausted after the day's play.

"Hopefully tomorrow I can be a bit more consistent," she added. "Didn't hit many greens today and that's probably led to some of my bogeys. Hopefully I just play boring golf tomorrow and those putts go in."

Alongside Hannah Green, her fellow countrywoman Grace Kim is also at 7-under after three days at Wilshire. Kim was 12-under with the four-stroke lead after 36 holes, but her 5-over 76 brought her down to 7-under.
