From doing shoey to giving away smelly socks, the LIV Golf Adelaide event always offers something unique for its fans.

During the 2024 LIV Golf Adelaide event, Bryson DeChambeau engaged in a contest with a fan, leading him to give away his smelly socks to a spectator near the practice putting area of the Grange Golf Course.

The captain of the Crusher GC lost a putting contest to a fan in Adelaide and, with no other option, decided to give away his socks. However, before handing them over to the fan, the American golfer smelled it.

NUCLR Golf shared the video on its X (formerly Twitter) account with the caption:

"LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau had to give a fan his socks after losing a putting contest in Adelaide. Bryson made sure to sniff the socks before handing them over."

The LIV Golf Adelaide event has completed two rounds, and as of now, the third round is underway. DeChambeau has been playing with a score under 11, with only two more holes to play at the time of writing.

Besides DeChambeau giving away his socks, Adelaide's fan favorite, Cameron Smith, was spotted doing a shoey at the ongoing tournament. His team, Ripper GC, shared a video of the Aussie doing the shoey on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

Meanwhile, Cam Smith shot four birdies and a bogey in the third round on Sunday, April 28, to score -14 at the time of writing.


How did Bryson DeChambeau fare at the LIV Golf Adelaide 2024?

Bryson DeChambeau has been performing well at the LIV Golf Adelaide event. Following his dominant showing at the Masters 2024 earlier this month, fans held high expectations for him at the Adelaide event.

DeChambeau commenced the Saudi Circuit event with a round of under-4. He teed off on the third hole with a bogey but swiftly countered with three consecutive birdies from the fifth to seventh holes. Throughout the round, he shot six birdies and two bogeys, resulting in a score of 4-under 68.

During the second round of the LIV Golf Adelaide, DeChambeau continued his streak of under-par rounds. Starting the game on the 17th hole, he carded three birdies, an eagle, and a bogey. He recorded two bogeys and four birdies in the third round, concluding the event with a score of under 10.

At the time of writing, he is positioned in a tie for 26th place on the leaderboard, which is subject to change as the tournament progresses.

Meanwhile, Brendan Steele is in contention to win the tournament. He had a one-stroke lead over Louis Oosthuizen at the time of writing.
