Scottie Scheffler has been an unstoppable force on the PGA Tour over the last few months. Having picked up four victories in five events, including a major win, Scheffler will look to continue his streak in the future.

After securing back-to-back victories at the 2024 Masters and the RBC Heritage, Scheffler took a break and opted out of the 2024 Zurich Open.

Scottie Scheffler took a much-deserved break this week and has not been mentioned in the upcoming field for the 2024 Byron Nelson (via cjcupbyronnelson.org). He will be sitting out the tournament to rest up for the PGA Championship that will be held in May.

This will be the second tournament in a row that Scheffler will not be a part of the field in a PGA Tour event. The golfer has not specified when he will play next.

Scheffler and his wife Meredith are getting ready to welcome their first child into this world, and it has been at the back of the golfer's mind even when he was out on course winning events.

Scottie Scheffler becomes the first player since Tiger Woods to follow up Master victory with RBC Heritage win

After a win at the 2024 Masters, Scheffler carried forward his momentum at the RBC Heritage and secured another victory despite tough conditions and a rain delay.

Speaking about his win and the mental resilience it takes to do so, Scheffler said (via the Guardian):

"Coming off the high last week to going into here, not really with a ton of energy, not really with a ton of prep work. I think it’s underrated how difficult it is to do the stuff that Tiger was doing, and win like every single week. It takes a lot out of you emotionally and physically, especially major championships.”

Scottie Scheffler joined Tiger Woods in becoming the only two golfers to have won the RBC Heritage after the Masters. With four victories already in the 2024 PGA Tour season, Scheffler has cemented himself as arguably the best golfer in today's age.

Alongside Scheffler, Nelly Korda too has impressed the world of golf, taking five consecutive victories, including a major win. Both golfers have been commended by fans, experts, and fellow golfers alike.
