UFC is expected to put up a big event in Canada at UFC 206 and so it will. A huge announcement made by Daniel Cormier on ‘UFC Tonight’ regarding UFC’s upcoming event in Toronto. Cormier will defend his UFC lightweight strap for the second time against number one contender Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson, at UFC 206 in Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Canada.

Cormier responded by promising to ‘help’ Johnson by sending him instructional videos. A jibe directed, again, towards Rumble’s perceived lack of wrestling skills by Cormier:
To this, Rumble replied by promising Cormier that he’ll be laying in wait:
The duo had previously fought at UFC 187 for the UFC Lightweight Championship that was vacated by Jon Jones due to a hit-and-run accident that involved him. DC had overwhelmed Johnson and submitted him going into the third round via a rear-naked choke. The win earned Cormier the 'Performance of the Night' Bonus.
With the win, Cormier became one of the oldest fighters in the UFC to hold the UFC Light-heavyweight gold. Prior to Cormier’s reign as the champion he had fought Jon Jones in a losing effort at UFC 182.
Last year, the original plan for UFC 197 was a rematch between Cormier and Jones. But Jones was stripped of his title after the hit-and-run accident. Jones reign as the champion consisted of 8 title defences.
This was the third longest reign as a champion in the UFC history, next to Anderson Silva’s record of ten defences and Georges St-Pierre’s record of nine defences. Jon Jones is the current Interim UFC lightweight champion and had won the interim belt after out striking Ovince St Preux at UFC 197.
Rumours state that UFC 206 will also feature a match involving the former welterweight kingpin George St-Pierre. GSP is much revered in Canada and an event involving him will certainly incite a lot of interest in the Pay Per View.
