Alexander Volkanovski recently shared his predictions for UFC 282. The featherweight champion detailed why he believes Darren Till will emerge victorious over Dricus du Plessis in their upcoming middleweight bout.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Volkanovski stated that Dricus du Plessis is a bit more aggressive and that Till can take advantage of this:

"Darren Till's good. He can be hit or miss. I feel like Darren Till will capitalize on this. I watched a bit of tape on Dricus and he can be a little bit aggressive, he can overcommit. Darren Till, he's got some good Muay Thai. I do believe sometimes he does keep that chin up there a little bit. Some people can capitalize on it, I don't think Dricus will."

The No.1-ranked pound-for-pound fighter continued to praise his boxing skills and feels that 'The Gorilla' is a better striker:

"I think Dricus is gonna put himself in more vulnerable positions, and, again, Darren Till's got some tidy hands and he can capitalize on that. Come in aggressive like that... Darren Till's high level and definitely a better striker than Dricus, I believe, so I'm gonna lean towards Darren Till."

After starting his career with a record of 17-0-1, Till has lost four of his past five fights, including his last two bouts. He will look to get back in the win column against du Plessis, who is riding a five-fight win streak, three of which have come since joining the UFC.

Israel Adesanya previews Alexander Volkanovski vs. Islam Makhachev

Alexander Volkanovski will face Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title at UFC 284 in Perth, Australia, as he pursues the greatness that comes with being a double champ. The featherweight champion's teammate, Israel Adesanya, recently previewed the highly anticipated bout.

Speaking to Andrew Schulz on his FLAGRANT podcast, the former middleweight champion stated:

"I truly, gun to my head, could bet my whole house on him. Volk is just different. Volk is the kind of guy, even when he cuts weight, the amount he cuts, for him to have the cardio he has in the later rounds... it’s mind-blowing. The man’s different."

Volkanovski will look to become the sixth double champ in UFC history. The No.1-ranked pound-for-pound fighter has not lost since his fourth professional fight, when he competed as a welterweight, winning his last 22 bouts, including 12 in the UFC.

He will face what could be his toughest opponent, however, as Makhachev has won his last 11 bouts. The lightweight champion will look to defeat Volkanovski in his first title defense to become the UFC's pound-for-pound king.
