Conor McGregor revealed his pick for the UFC 281 main event title fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira.

The way McGregor sees it, 'The Last Stylebender' is poised to get his revenge against the only man to ever knock him out. As part of his collaboration with DraftKings, 'The Notorious' posted his official pick on Twitter.

One of the most dominant champions in the UFC, Adesanya has cleaned out the entire middleweight division. However, he faces a tough challenge against a man who many believe is his kryptonite.

Adesanya and Pereira have fought twice before during their kickboxing days. In 2016, the Brazilian edged Adesanya with a decision in their first fight. The following year, Pereira knocked Adesanya out in a rematch.

Still, Adesanya is favored to leave UFC 281 as the victor. The middleweight champion is currently a -225 betting favorite, leaving Pereira as the +180 underdog.

Conor McGregor hails Israel Adesanya as "one of the true remaining high-level fighter/performer athletes"

Conor McGregor has some high praise for UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

McGregor is currently the biggest box office star in the UFC, holding multiple records for the highest-selling UFC pay-per-view events of all time. Needless to say, McGregor recognizes a fellow superstar when he sees one.

Earlier this year, Adesanya fought Robert Whittaker to secure his fourth successful title defense. Ahead of the weekend bout, McGregor praised Adesanya on Twitter, writing:

"Can't wait to see Izzy Style back in the Octagon this weekend... Don't just fight, perform!"

McGregor has been inactive since suffering a brutal leg injury at UFC 264 last July. UFC president Dana White previously claimed that the Irishman will return early in 2023, but McGregor's decision to leave the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool will push his expected return further down the road.
