Conor McGregor seemingly trolls Petr Yan following latter's controversial decision loss against Sean O'Malley at UFC 280

Conor McGregor has aimed a slight dig at Petr Yan for his performance against Sean O'Malley at UFC 280.

Yan engaged in a three-round barn burner with the UFC's surging superstar Sean O'Malley. 'Sugar' rocked the Russian with a strong punch and instead of retreating, Yan chose to answer fire with fire. He landed a stifling punch of his own that dropped the American.

Both fighters were bloodied and battered in the end-to-end high-octane clash. Yan clearly had the edge in the wrestling exchanges as he opted for a rather unlikely grappling-heavy approach to the fight.

This drew a reaction from Conor McGregor, who poked fun at Yan's strategy. He posted a tweet labeling the Russian "the best shooter":

McGregor, who's known to speak from the shoulder, claimed that he's already outboxed three fighters from a list that also includes former opponents like Nate Diaz and Max Holloway. He also paid a left-handed compliment to Yan and reacted to the post on Twitter:

"I outboxed 3 guys on this list! There’s no one even remotely close to my boxing in the ufc. Even Dustin only got shots off post the leg damage. Everyone has been pucked around by me if we are going off boxing. Yan is good tho, i like his style. I’d rip him up in that shell though."
