Dillon Danis trolls Jorge Masvidal with insulting Colby Covington jibe after 'Gamebred' brings his kids to UFC 287 weigh-ins

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington have had a well-documented falling out, with the former claiming that the latter refused to pay Masvidal's striking coach in 2018, which instigated the beef.

The pair faced off in the octagon at UFC 272 in March 2022, where 'Chaos' defeated Masvidal via unanimous decision. The trash-talk leading up to the bout was more personal than usual, with Covington going so far as to call 'Gamebred' a 'deadbeat dad' who doesn't look after his children.

Jorge Masvidal is set to return to the UFC this weekend for the first time since his bout with Colby Covington. 'Gamebred' is set to face Gilbert Burns in the co-main event of UFC 287.

During the ceremonial weigh-ins, Masvidal brought two of his children on stage with him, prompting Dillon Danis to tweet the following:

Covington's jab about Masvidal's parenting skills appeared to lurk in the mind of 'Gamebred'. He allegedly attacked Covington outside a restaurant in Miami several weeks after their bout, and now faces three felony charges.

Masvidal is on a three-fight losing streak right now, with two losses to Kamaru Usman followed by a unanimous decision loss to Covington. 'Gamebred' has openly stated that a loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287 could spell the end for the Miami native's career, and fans should expect an explosive performance from him.

Jorge Masvidal talks about fighting in front of his kids

Jorge Masvidal has waited 20 years to be able to compete on the world's greatest stage in his hometown, and this weekend his dream will be realized. 'Gamebred' will feature in the co-main event of a stacked UFC 287 card, and will be fighting in front of his entire family.

Masvidal admitted that he was initially in two minds about fighting in Miami, as he had found a "home on the road" and was used to fighting in other people's backyards.

'Gamebred' recently spoke to UFC broadcaster Megan Olivi and stated that the opportunity to inspire the next generation with an electric performance on Saturday cannot be taken for granted:

"I'm here with my people, my family, the city that birthed me, raised me and matured me. Now I get to compete in front of them in the flesh. I've been [fighting] all over the world, and it's hard to put into words. People I went to school with, people older than me, there's young kids in those stands that are here right now that I'm gonna inspire."
