Henry Cejudo and Chael Sonnen weighed in on the likelihood of Kamaru Usman recovering from his head-kick knockout loss to Leon Edwards at UFC 278.

Cejudo uploaded a video to his YouTube channel where he and Sonnen discussed whether or not Usman's mindset will be affected when he fights Edwards in their trilogy bout this Saturday at UFC 286.

'Triple C' brought up his own experience of how "getting concussed" affected his mindset:

"I remember getting concussed and getting hit at one time. I was scared, Chael, I was scared to get hit for at least six months. I remember just having like overtwitching almost to the point where it took so much time for me to [be] comfortable again, to be myself once again." [2:48 - 3:04]

'The American Gangster' chimed in and stated that the former welterweight champion could be more hesitant when the fight isn't on the ground because of what transpired at UFC 278.

He mentioned that Usman might even have second thoughts about striking with Edwards:

"What the audience is often told, particularly in the world of boxing, 'When a guy gets knocked out, he's never the same.' His chin does not change contrary to popular belief. What happens is he freezes, he's now scared to attack. Every time you reach for attack, you leave yourself open in some regard." [3:48 - 4:03]

It will be interesting to see whether what Cejudo said about being tentative reflects on Usman's performance in his trilogy fight with Edwards.

Henry Cejudo believes Merab Dvalishvili would be an easy fight for him

Henry Cejudo hasn't shied away from talking trash now that his octagon return has been confirmed for UFC 288.

'Triple C' recently put the bantamweight division on notice and weighed in on Merab Dvalishvili's dominant win over former bantamweight champion Petr Yan this past weekend.

He mentioned that he believes Dvalishvili would be an easy matchup for him, especially with his Olympic wrestling background, and described what would transpire if they fought in the octagon:

"This guy [Dvalishvili], you know he's gonna press, you know he's gonna do all this to shoot. This is why a guy like Merab would be easy money. I'd hurt that dude. I'd let him in on my legs, make him carry my weight, and then take him down."

Regardless of the outcome at UFC 288, it will be interesting to see whether the UFC attempts to book Dvalishvili vs. Cejudo at a later date.
