Paddy Pimblett, Darren Till and Jan Blachowicz seem to be huge fans of Lionel Messi and picked the Argentine over Cristiano Ronaldo when they were asked to choose between the two football stars. As the three fighters prepare to fight at UFC 282, they picked some of their favorite soccer players in a rapid-fire quiz.

In a video posted by ESPN MMA, the three UFC stars unanimously chose Messi over Ronaldo when asked to pick one between the two.

Next, they were asked to pick between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Paddy Pimblett quickly chose the french soccer sensation, while Jan Blachowicz chose Haaland. Surprisingly, Darren Till also picked the Norwegian striker, considering Haaland plays for Liverpool FC's rival, Manchester City. Between Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski, the decision was once again unanimous as all three picked Lewandowski as their striker of choice over the Moroccan.

Kevin De Bruyne and Luka Modric were the third pair of choices offered. Interestingly, Paddy Pimblett chose De Bruyne, knowing that the Belgian midfielder played for Manchester City, who rival the Liverpudlian's beloved home team. Till and Blachowicz both opted for Modric.

In the fourth and final round, Diego Maradona and Pele were the choices offered. The two Liverpool natives were unified in picking Maradona, whereas the Pole picked Pele.

Jan Blachowicz will fight Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 282 for the light heavyweight title. Paddy Pimblett faces Jared Gordon in a lightweight battle, while Darren Till will face Dricus Du Plessis.

When Paddy Pimblett revealed which soccer stars he would love to fight most

Paddy Pimblett is a true Scouser, and the 27-year-old isn't afraid to show his love for the Liverpudlian Reds. As a well-known Liverpool fan, it is natural for Pimblett to despise players in rival teams, and he named Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva as players he would love to fight.

While Fernandes plays for Manchester United, who are historically bitter rivals to Liverpool, Silva plays for Manchester City. In an interview with Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil on Pub Talk, Pimblett mentioned that the two Portuguese midfielders were at the top of his hit list:

"Last season, when he first got signed, it was Bruno Fernandes because of how overrated he was. But now, it's Bernardo Silva. I don't know anyone who likes Bernardo Silva... He is a horrible wrong'un. He's a piece of sh*t, yeah. That time when they gave us a guard of honor and he just stood there."

Pimblett also thought that two Liverpool defenders, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson, would make good fighters:

"That's a good question, to be honest. I've never actually been asked that question. I'd probably say the same two straight away, Virg [Virgil van Dijk] and Robbo [Andy Robertson]."
