This weekend, Dustin Poirier is gearing up to showcase his broadcasting skills as a desk analyst at UFC 287, set to be held at Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. This marks a new venture for the former UFC interim lightweight champion, who will be providing insights and analysis on the fights alongside other industry experts.

On a recent occasion, 'The Diamond' shared a picture on his Twitter handle. In the photo, he was seen seated alongside renowned analyst and coach Din Thomas and UFC host Megan Olivi. The snapshot captured the trio sharing an amiable moment together at the UFC analysis desk.

Take a look at the photo here:

After securing a third-round submission victory over former title challenger Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier is set to bring his wealth of knowledge to the UFC 287 desk as an analyst for the event. As a teammate of Jorge Masvidal, he is expected to provide valuable insight ahead of Masvidal's upcoming bout against Gilbert Burns in the co-main event.

While it remains to be seen whether Dustin Poirier will be a permanent addition to the UFC's broadcast team or if his role will be limited to this event only, his appearance as a desk analyst is eagerly anticipated by fans and fellow fighters alike.

Justin Gaethje persists his campaign for a rematch with Dustin Poirier

In 2018, Dustin Poirier secured a fourth-round TKO victory over Justin Gaethje in the UFC on Fox 29, but since then, Gaethje, who is presently positioned at No. 3 in the lightweight category, has been eagerly awaiting a chance to even the score with his opponent.

Following his win against Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286, 'The Highlight' reaffirmed his determination to rematch with 'The Diamond' in a recent interview with MMA Fighting. Gaethje emphasized the crucial nature of settling the score with his adversary, indicating his fervent desire to redeem his previous defeat and cement his standing as a top lightweight fighter, he stated:

"I think that's the obvious answer. He's No.2, he has no dance partner, and the same with me. I think that fight is certainly a title contention fight. The winner of the Oliveira and Dariush fight, obviously they are going to fight for the title in October, so I need to fight Dustin in August, September, or October to put me on that perfect timeline."
