Chiefs players upset with Clark Hunt, ownership group over alleged false promises to upgrade locker room: Report

The Kansas City Chiefs may be the defending two-time Super Bowl champions, but things are not as rosy as they seem. According to a report by the NFLPA, the Chiefs rank 31st out of 32 teams for facilities. Owner Clark Hunt was rated dead last out of all owners.

Per the report, ownership promised the team that they'd upgrade the locker room among other things but have not.

Following the 2022 season, where they beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, they were reportedly promised changes that have not transpired. The only change reportedly made was the addition of chairs.

The report also said that team members do not feel like the staff is not making enough of an effort to get them the right treatment after games. They also believe that they aren't allowed to get preventative treatment, something that most other NFL teams have easy access to. One complaint was that the treatment room was significantly understaffed.

While the Chiefs ranked near the bottom in most categories, there was one positive takeaway from the report. Andy Reid, who guided the team to its second straight Super Bowl win, ranked first among head coaches in the league.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Miami Dolphins ranked near the top in almost all categories. The Dolphins earned at least an A- in all 11 categories, and were the highest rated in cafeteria, training room, training staff, weight room, team travel and ownership.
