5 possible ways WWE could replace the Undertaker's streak

Whenever the topic of WrestleMania comes into discussion between the fans, the one thing without which it would be complete is the Undertakers illustrious streak. An epic feat which travelled more than two decades has been the biggest attraction in WrestleMania for a long time now. But as they say, all good things must come to an end and for Taker and his streak, its almost there.Takers body will simply not allow him to go for another decade or so meaning that we could soon see the Undertakers streak coming to an end. This means that the WWE will be faced with a big problem of filling the void left by such a big match. So here is a look at the possible ways in which WWE could overcome the loss and find a replacement for the 'Streak of the Undertaker'.

#5 A Survivor Series Traditional match

The traditional Survivor series match is something which we eagerly anticipate once WrestleMania concludes. The match is ideal for wrestler to get that big push and it also has a lot of tradition in it which makes it special.

Over the years, WWE have managed to produce some epic matches as well with these stipulations. So having a two traditional Survivor Series match in a year is clearly not going to hurt anyone.

An elimination match every year will be something worth looking forward to and it could fill in a healthy amount of time in the long 4 hour pay-per-view.

Instead of just throwing in everyone with a battle royal, WWE could book its midcarders intelligently with this one which makes it a great option.

#4 A legends match

Most of the big names associated with WWE have been in and out of the company as part timers every now and then. And WWE has always banked on their star quality as well. Making a slot for these stars to battle it out at WrestleMania won’t be a bad idea because of that.

The company could get these guys on a pay-per-appearance deal and doesn’t have to bother building up a storyline as well. The superstars will also benefit from a fat pay check and another big moment at WrestleMania.

It won’t be a wrestling clinic though, but it will be one of those moments where the fans will be eagerly waiting to see, because they will be witnessing history being repeated. Adding a pinch of the Attitude Era gimmick matches or eye candy into the mix won’t hurt either.

#3 Hall of Fame inductions

Hall of Fame is usually heavily hyped by the WWE prior to WrestleMania but the fans only get to see just minutes of footage of the event once it gets done.

Fans are always eager to know how personal each new inductee would get with the honor and also everyone would love to hear those legends give a great speech. But we will not be able to see any of those moments in the current arrangement.

Thus a change is clearly needed. Having the Hall of Fame inductions in front of the whole crowd at WrestleMania will be a fitting way to show gratitude to these wrestlers. The emotional quotient involved with WrestleMania will surely rise with this also.

With Taker’s streak to vanish anytime soon, something like the Hall of Fame inductions between the big matches will certainly be a good way to cover up.

#2 Build Bray Wyatt as the new Taker

The next best thing after Undertaker in the current roster when it comes to a charismatic gimmick is clearly Bray Wyatt. Bray has been on the ride to top ever since his debut and he is someone who is highly regarded by the company.

So why not give him an unbeaten run in WrestleMania then?

It may sound a bit cheap at first, but at the moment it’s fair to say that Bray is hotter than Taker. He has the skill both in and out of the ring and also has the age as his advantage.

But above all, Bray has John Cena as his opponent in his WrestleMania debut. A win against Cena will be the ideal setting for WWE to build up Bray. Though the members of Shield are also a consideration, the fact that they will be in a tag team match this year gives Bray the edge.

#1 Money In the Bank

Six guy, one brief case, a plethora of ladders and WrestleMania- it was the most deadliest combination when WWE decided to introduce the Money In the Bank at WrestleMania.

The match was an instant hit with the fans and the briefcase was valued just like a major title. However, soon WWE decided to give Money in the bank its own pay-per-view and make it two brief cases instead of one.

It never was a popular decision with the fans as they saw their favorite match being removed from the biggest event in professional wrestling. And now that Taker will be hanging up his boots, there won’t be a better time for WWE to make things right.

Scrapping the Money in the Bank pay-per-view and bringing the match back to WrestleMania will make the whole thing more relevant and it will also add a great insecurity to the champions as the winner could bank in just minutes after winning it.

An exciting match like this is not enough to replace the legacy but it’s enough to keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
