5 ways The Undertaker should retire from WWE

The Undertaker made his WWE debut in 1990, and since then he his career graph has only been on the rise. He has some memorable feuds and some memorable matches while also giving the fans something legendary as his streak.Though it mightve come to an end, the streak is still breathing and many of the fans still is yet to sink in on the fact that it actually ended. But one way to view it would be that Takers career wasnt always about the streak. The Streak only got relevance when it reached 13-0 and till then Taker had a life which the fans hope to see from him in the post- streak period. However, Taker barely has more to give making retirement an eminent factor. Just like everything, there will be some options in front of him if he decides to hang up his boot and here are the five possible ways.

#5 Just walking out of WWE

This might not sound like a great idea at first, but keeping in mind the way in which WWE bought up Taker’s character this would be an ideal choice.

There has been always a mystique surrounding him and that’s what we love about him. So Taker walking out on a mysterious way will only be completing the cycle.

However, the fans that are waiting to see his farewell match are sure to be disappointed with this.

Along with that, this will prove that Taker was only defined by the Streak which would end up being more valuable as it was that which held him into WWE all this time.

Taker’s absence will lead to a much bigger pop if he decides to make an appearance in the future making this an investment for the future.

#4 Hall of Fame Induction

There are no doubts regarding the hall of fame induction that Taker is going to have in near future. But he delivering the retirement speech along with the Hall of Fame speech is going to be something different.

If Taker doesn’t have any matches left in him, what WWE could do is let him walk out in Hall of fame ceremony where everyone from the industry will be there to witness the moment.

Fans will get to see a more personal side of Taker and realize what he’s been going through when we were busy to see him continue the streak.

A single retirement speech of Taker at the Hall of Fame ceremony could work wonders for the WWE Network as well, which promises some income for WWE.

#3 Special Retirement pay-per-view

WWE always have a tendency to pull off special shows and some events here and there to pay tribute to the legend. And like that what they could do to appreciate the efforts of Taker will be to dedicate an entire pay-per-view to him.

There could be matches involving Taker’s opponents and people breaking kayfabe since it’s going to be all about respect for the Phenom.

Taker could meet up with all his WrestleMania opponents in the ring as well giving the fans a run down the history books. Taker need not wrestle in the event also as it would be the job of fans and WWE to let him enjoy the show rather than being in it.

A Taker themed show surely could blow the buy rates off the roof giving life to WWE’s pay-per-view business which is slowly dying.

#2 WrestleMania 31 against an upcoming talent

Despite having a legendary streak in his hands, the number of young superstars who got over thanks to Taker’s WrestleMania streak is confined to Randy Orton.

He was the only young guy who got benefited from the bankability of Taker’s WrestleMania appearance and even though Orton lost, it was a career maker for him.

Taker then went on to face many seasoned veterans but now that the streak is over, he could put over a young guy in his last match. Anyone on the roster is going to benefit in a feud with Undertaker leading up to his farewell match.

A particular name that needs to be throwed in will be Bray Wyatt, he is showing a lot of brilliance in the feud against Cena and with Taker on the opposite side it bounds to be better. Bray need not win the match as well, but being in the limelight will only propel him higher.

#1 Double Farewell match against Sting

It’s a scenario that’s been played over and over in everyone’s mind because it will be that damn awesome. Sting and Taker should have a match before the two of them retire and making it a double farewell match only makes it better.

Though WrestleMania is the ideal stage, depending on the physical condition of Taker WWE could put it in any pay-per-view. The match is going to sky rocket the buy rates single handedly.

The tough decision however will be about who wins the match. Both wrestlers don’t deserve to go out on a losing note which makes draw a credible option.

The fans wouldn’t mind seeing both not answering a ten count and hugging it out in the end as it keeps the loop open for a possible future class. If WWE want anyone to win the match also there won’t be any problems as the emotionally charged fans wouldn’t even notice the result.
