Road to WWE SummerSlam: Best way to book Roman Reigns

WWE fans have been always fond of stables and their love recently reached its epitome with the lights of Shield and Evolution making it big in the company. The highly regarded Shield in particular has become the fan favorite in such short span that the WWE creative is already plotting out big plans for their future. Out of the four major pay-per-views, we saw the Shield getting it big at Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. And its not a secret that the WWE is drunk on getting Roman Reigns over as the next top babyface which comes with the need of getting him the right combinations at SummerSlam. So here is the best way to book Roman Reigns through to the biggest event of the summer.

#7 Falling for the Evolution at Payback

One of the biggest news that came out of Extreme Rules was Shield getting one clean over Evolution. Reigns as usual shined in the match but a tainted Evolution is still out there looking to settle the score.

The two stables are sure to have one more tussle at Payback. WWE needs to let Evolution win that one since without that they will look bad on their much hyped return. The match could be booked in some screwy manner in favor of Evolution to keep the Hounds of Justice frustrated.

After losing the match, the Shield could take out Evolution and put Batista into some kayfabe injury to write him off the Television so that he can promote Guardians of the Galaxy. While Sheamus could run out for the save and reveal himself as the newest member of the Evolution.

#6 You are not getting a rematch

With Sheamus as the replacement for Batista, the Evolution will be still back in full force. However, the Shield will be frustrated after their loss at Payback and demanding for a rematch.

Triple H being the COO would simply reject the offer and put forth a stipulation of his own. He will put Randy Orton, Sheamus and the Shield in the Money in the bank match and if a member of the Shield won the match, they would get their rematch.

The last member of the match could be anyone like Rob Van Dam, who can add that flashiness into the match which will be main eventing the pay-per-view because of the high profile feud that is going on.

#5 Money in the Bank match and teammates turning

The Shield and two members of the Evolution will be looking to get the briefcase for entirely two different reasons while the other superstar in the match will just be looking to cash in on the war between the two stables.

As the match progresses, the Shield could work as a team only to be fended off by the other. At the end of the match, when Roman Reigns is climbing the ladder to get the briefcase, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose could turn against him.

They could knock Reigns out of the ladder and help Randy Orton win the Money in the Bank and let everyone know that they are no longer on the side of Reigns.

#4 I have some friends to take care of first

Knowing that Triple H screwed him over, Reigns can come out on the night after Money in the Bank and tell that he will take care of Hunter soon.

However, before he would do that, he has a score to settle with two guys who he once called friends. Reigns could challenge Ambrose and Rollins for a match at Battleground which they would simply accept due to the influence of Hunter.

Hunter would order Reigns to be destroyed by Ambrose and Rollins while Sheamus will be busy with his US title and Orton teasing a cashing in on Daniel Bryan. Thus a handicap match will be set for Battleground with Reigns on one side and Rollins and Ambrose on the other.

#3 Handicap match at Battleground

Coming off the turn at Money in the Bank, Reigns will be eager to get in the ring with Rollins and Ambrose even though he is outnumbered.

Since the three know eachother like the back of their hands, it would end up being an exciting to and fro match despite the handicap nature. Triple H could add in some distractions from his side to make sure that Reigns doesn’t win.

However, all that won’t be enough to stop Reigns from getting a win at Battle ground and making is clear that his next target is Triple H.

#2 I want you at SummerSlam

As a typical heel, Triple H would laugh off the challenge of Reigns and say that Reigns is not big enough to face the Game at SummerSlam.

But Reigns could go to the limits to make the match happen. This could include him getting a win over all the members of Evolution including the latest additions like Rollins and Ambrose.

Despite the wins, Hunter still wouldn’t want to give Reigns the spot at SummerSlam forcing Reigns to go personal. He could rub it on the fact that Hunter had to marry Stephanie to reach where he is now rather than wrestling his way to the top like Reigns himself.

Getting it personal would force Triple H to accept the challenge and make it a match for SummerSlam

#1 Triple H vs. Roman Reigns at SummerSlam

WWE wants to put Reigns as the next big babyface in the company and a match at SummerSlam with Triple H would be the first step.

The match would be more personal than professional due to the buildup it had. The Evolution will be at the ring side for Triple H to help him at any cost thus stacking the odds against Reigns making it more difficult to walk out as the winner.

However, with a bit of help from the locker room, Reigns could get rid of the Evolution and take out Hunter to stamp his place in the roster as a main event star.
