Two huge announcements are on their way. It seems to be a tremendous step forward in seeking more business opportunities in a market like India’s. Mahabali Shera is the guy they are looking to push, given his much-featured status on TNA lately. All of this promises to be a move to reignite the company and capitalize on this very flourishing market base. Here are 3 reasons why TNA is right in wanting to invest in the Indian market

It’s no secret that wrestling is a raging sensation in India. WWE has one of the largest fan bases right here.

The popularity has only increased each passing year and that itself led WWE to consider India as a long term opportunity towards building and nurturing the business. It’s only imperative that TNA banks upon this rabid interest that already consumes the Indian audience.

Khali was instrumental in bringing back some more attention to the WWE but over the years his presence has hardly mattered since WWE already has created a long term connection with the fans here.

WWE’s revenues itself have monumentally increased over the years.

#2 Much more cost effective

TNA has signed a long-term deal with Sony Six

Sony Six will be the channel that will be airing TNA episodes.

The company recently signed a 7 year deal with the channel. That’s a great opportunity as far as cost effectiveness goes. Getting a one year deal overseas or holding live shows themselves overseas costs a whole deal more than this long term deal put together.

A 7 year deal isn’t smething that will be a blink and miss. The duration gives TNA a lot to look forward to and plan accordingly.

#3 Second time the charm

Ring Ka King was quite forgettable.

Of course, there was this one time when Jeff Jarrett introduced ‘Ring Ka King’. It was 2012 and the show did get some impressive ratings for its first episode. That essentially speaks about how much of an interested audience you already have for wrestling.

But the glory of that initial episode did not continue further as the ratings dwindled. Despite being aired on Colors, the show suffered a lot of stiff competition and their content did not turn out to be the king.

This may have given TNA a lot more time to think about how to invest further on.
