5 Big Headaches WWE will have in 2015

A lot of people might be still feeling the hangover of their New Year celebration, but Vince McMahon clearly doesn’t belong to that list. Even though he has been a big mess up in recent years, the guy works day and night to put a product together and that deserves some appreciation.2014 wasn’t very pretty for Vince and his company as they suffered a lot of backlash from the fans. There were a lot of big moments like Undertaker’s streak ending and Sting’s debut in the year but then again, the majority negatives overshadowed the positives.As McMahon prepares himself to change his luck in 2015, there are certain hurdles that he will surely come across. So here is a look at those big headaches that Vince would have when he ventures deep into 2015.

#6 Honorable mention: Lucha Underground and TNA

Being the only big fish in the pond is what made WWE complacent. The lack of completion was always the biggest problem that WWE faced after WCW went out of business and that might be solved this year thanks to Lucha Underground and TNA.

The Lucha Underground franchise has been making waves for quite some time now and TNA on the other hand would be coming back stronger with their new network.

#5 Lesnars departure

WWE always invested big time on Brock Lesnar. In his first run, they made him the champion within just two years and in his second run, WWE made him the one behind twenty one and one at WrestleMania.

Not only did Lesnar end Undertaker’s legendary streak but he also went on to dismantle John Cena as though Cena was some local wrestler fed to Ryback. Despite the on and off appearances of Lesnar, he was still a big draw who boosted WWE’s ticket sales.

Lesnar however, is destined to leave the company. UFC is knocking on the door at a regular basis and Lesnar might jump ships once his contract runs out. Dealing with his departure will be a big headache for the company.

#4 NXT being a better product

This turned out to be a big problem for WWE as they move towards the end of 2014. The fans were clearly into the NXT product more than what WWE gave out in the main roster and Vince is apparently furious about this.

TLC was the biggest example of this working against WWE as the pay-per-view failed to live up to NXT Revolution that happened just days before the show.

With a much better roster for 2015, NXT will be producing a great wrestling product in competition to what Vince provides. There are going to be a lot of calls for replacing Vince with Hunter which in turn would probably distract Vince from executing the bit of good plans he have.

#3 Filling the AJ Lee void

AJ Lee’s retirement rumors have been relevant for a long time now. And unlike last year, the chances of AJ actually walking out of the company are high this time around.

The reason is without much suspense, CM Punk. Punk’s grudge with WWE only worsened with him joining UFC and AJ might soon start feeling the effects. Also, a top diva showing up on UFC shows is not what Vince would want making AJ’s exit easier.

Once AJ goes, WWE needs to focus on replacing her. Paige is a good candidate for the same but there are names like Charlotte who could also get the job done. Replacing AJ would be a big problem and the future of Divas division will pretty much depend on it.

#2 The risk called Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is going to be one of the biggest headaches for WWE this year, period. He announced that he would return to action at the Royal Rumble but even though that is good news, there is no guarantee on how long Bryan would be able to wrestle.

The doctors apparently didn’t know what his problem was after the surgery and it will be a great risk from WWE’s part to let him wrestle again. Bryan on the other hand deserves respect for what he does but that doesn’t mean everything will turn out pretty.

Every second that Bryan spends in between the ropes would be a risk for WWE and unless they protect him properly, the wrestling world might see another tragedy unfold in 2015.

#1 Pulling off WrestleMania without Undertaker

The difference between 2014 and 2015 is Undertaker. Last year, when WWE went to book WrestleMania they had a big draw in the form of Taker’s streak. But this year, that advantage will not be there.

It will be the first time in nearly two decades where Taker will probably miss the show and even if he makes it, booking him would be a much bigger headache.

The people backstage have no idea on how to handle Taker at Mania after his streak is broken. So even if Taker makes it to WrestleMania or not, WWE is going to struggle big time to prove to the world that the pay-per-view doesn’t revolve around Taker.
