5 things that WWE are doing wrong at the moment

The wrestling fans have been critical about the WWE product for a long time now. Apparently the fans arent happy with the product that Vince McMahon gives them and this has left them vocal whenever WWE throws in a live show.Apart from the fact that the talented guys are being wasted on pointless gimmicks there are certain other gaping holes that the WWE is having in their plot. The storylines have been recycled and the creative isnt doing the job for which they are paid for. After the launch of the WWE Network, the company is also facing a financial crisis which means that company might be reaping what they sow to the fans.So here is a look at some of the things that the company is doing wrong at the moment.

#5 Lack of proper tag teams

The only three teams the company could term as proper ones in the WWE at the moment are the Usos, Rhodes Brothers and the Wyatt Family. Ryback and Curtis Axel haven’t come out of the amateur level while Los Matadores are nothing more than a joke.

Now the tag team division was something which proved to be the backbone of WWE last year when they were in a bitter struggle. However, the company’s love to split up teams has left the division in vain.

At the same time there are many names in the mid card which could give us some exciting tag teams. Names like Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Sin Cara and many more have proven that they could turn out to be better tag wrestlers than Ryback and Axel.

Sadly, the WWE isn’t looking into that matter and only give the fans some random teams instead of looking for some chemistry.

#4 Making talents spend too much time in NXT

The latest trend when WWE signs someone is that they make the new wrestler spend a ridiculous amount of time in the developmental territory no matter how established he or she was in the Indy circuit.

The company might argue that they are doing the same for making the wrestlers adapt to WWE style of wrestling. However, names like Cesaro and Daniel Bryan is wrestling a similar style that they used to wrestle in the Indies meaning that the fans love that type of wrestling.

Sami Zayn, Corey Graves, Adrian Neville and many more in the NXT are polished in ring performers who are getting wasted in the NXT roster. Like this, WWE also had Paige wait for long before she got her shot in the main roster.

Owing to the fact that the superstars who are miles away from pulling off a solid match is in the main roster, the story of established talent being wasted in NXT should be stopped.

#3 Entire Divas division

Women’s wrestling has been something which the WWE forgets often. They spent no time whatsoever in giving the divas some storyline to work one and on top of that, lets models with minimal knowledge get in the ring rather than giving the trained ones a shot.

The best example of how WWE ill manages the divas is Paige. She has been wrestling since 12 and has more experience than almost all the other divas in the roster even though she is only 21. And yet the company books her as an underdog while her other side was successful in NXT.

Emma also has shown the world what she can do inside the ring but is stuck with a cobra gimmick which makes no sense. Natalya who is considered as one of the best technical female wrestler is nowhere near the divas title as well.

On the whole the division is a big mess and the recent rumor of AJ Lee’s pregnancy make matters worse for the fans.

#2 Not knowing their faces and heels

WWE has been botching the line between their faces and heels for some time now. The people who are supposed to be heel are getting the cheers of fans while the faces are getting booed out of the building. Obviously the fans are rating their performers on how they wrestle rather than the way WWE present them.

And it’s a flow with which the WWE has failed to synchronize. WWE should start to think about how they distinguish their wrestlers and start taking risks.

The company might benefit a lot if they turn Bray Wyatt, Bad News Barrett and Cesaro face as they are getting a lot of cheers from where they stand now. At the same time, Cena, Sheamus, Big Show and Mark Henry are names which should have a heel run by now.

#1 Not having a brand split and a taped SmackDown

When comparing to the wrestling business in the past, one thing that is against the WWE at the moment is the internet. All the results of their taped shows are available on various sites at the same night that the WWE tape them.

Due to this all the taped shows including SmackDown is affected adversely. Along with that, not having a brand split could be pointed out as the reason why so many talents are being wasted in the roster.

Most of the midcard wrestlers get paychecks even if they don’t show up and if the WWE had another brand, they could’ve easily made use of them. at the same time, like in the past, a revived brand could give the company some main event talents as well.

It might just be the right time to give SmackDown back to Paul Heyman as he is someone who proved that he could do wonders with the brand.
