WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 7 December 2015

No one is worried about Ryback vs. Rusev

The new stable in townWe might be heading right the holiday season, but WWE are in no mood to give out presents to their fans as of yet. They are giving out the same old crap that we have grown accustomed to and this is reflecting on the television ratings as well. WWE fans, who stuck with the company through many tragedies and difficulties, are now turning off the television or changing the channel when Monday Night Raw airs. What could be the reason? We know what the reason is and WWE knows it as well. However, for some reason (Vince McMahon), they are still not ready to change.WWE did have some questionnaires for their fans in the light of the falling ratings and it would be interesting to see whether all these have any impact on the shows. We will find out about the same on Monday Night Raw and here is what you could expect from it.

#5 A feud that no-one wants

No one is worried about Ryback vs. Rusev

The Lana-Rusev love story is once again back in the limelight following Lana’s unwanted antics on social media.

From an isolated point of view, Lana and Rusev being together is great for both the superstars, but if we take the immediate past into account, it is a stupid move.

The company did make efforts to come up with a story for the whole thing, but it fell flat. And now, they are shoving down a feud between Rusev and Ryback down our throats. Why are Rusev and Ryback fighting?

Because a steel step hit Lana’s legs and Rusev wants revenge for it. Makes sense right.

#4 Twitter wars

A face turn from Owens?

The best thing about Twitter for a wrestling fan is Kevin Owens.

The quirky Tweets and intelligent comebacks he produces is arguably second to none. Owens was seen engaging in an interesting feud with Sheamus on Twitter last week. Both the superstars exchanged some excellent statements and it could be WWE’s idea of building up an angle.

Owens was missing from Raw when the League of nations formed and now, it seems that he will be going against them. A face turn from Owens might be in the works and if that is the case, then Owens could end up being the most accepted babyface on the roster.

#3 Becky syndrome

Charlotte probably dug her own grave

WWE’s intentions to make the Divas title situation into a three way battle was made clear last week on Raw.

Becky Lynch wanted a friendly matchup between Charlotte, but the latter decided to cheat her way to victory with some help from her father. This has formed cracks in the relationship between Charlotte and Becky and we could get a full-blown heel turn from the champion.

Paige is adding oil to the burning fire and could get her share when everything settles down. The only thing missing in the feud is the inclusion of Sasha Banks and if WWE could somehow include her as well, the TLC match involving the Divas is sure to be a classic one.

#2 And the best thing about Raw

Expendables

The way in which WWE is utilizing New Day shows their value in the roster.

Everything that the New Day does is getting accepted by the fans and WWE knows this as well. This is exactly why we saw New Day aiding League of Nations and Sheamus throughout the past couple of Weeks.

The faction is also involved in the Tag team championship scenario. So practically, the team is pulling off some heavy workload. We can expect New Day appearing in three or four segments this week as well.

WWE will have to come up with innovative ideas and segments for the team, else they will burn out soon, something that WWE clearly does not want at this point.

#1 League of Nations and The Family

League of Nations

WWE is going to rely on the old formula of stable wars to cope with the falling ratings.

They came up with the League of Nations first. Now, there are plans of calling Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and the Usos as ‘The Family’. The fancy names are indeed interesting, but eight on eight tag team matches or other Handicap matches is not what the fans want right now.

The idea of a heel stable apart from the Authority is good, but the execution still needs a lot of polishing. The addition of Kevin Owens into the mix, as mentioned earlier, is likely to happen and only time will tell how this is going to end up.
