WWE Power Rankings: 26 April, 2014

Settling the scores looked sweet this week in WWE as some of the established main event names took out their frustrations with a pinch of sweet old revenge. The Hounds of justice in particular had a loud laugh when they had their head raised at the end of SmackDown after last week’s humiliation at the hands of Evolutions. Masked Kane also outwitted the returning Daniel Bryan in a painful note.Bray Wyatt showed off his singing skills again and simply captivation the Cenation in the way he talked throughout the week. There were some great amount of friction between the former Real Americans and the Rhodes Brothers as well.So here is a look at how all these reflected in the Power Rankings for this week.

#25 Rhodes Brothers (Previous Rank- 25)

The former tag team champions failed to make their opportunity count this week also as they suffered two more embarrassing defeats. There were some friction between the brothers as well but they manage to keep their place in the Power Rankings.

#24 Hornswoggle (Previous Rank- Nil)

The rivalry with El Torito is helping Hornswoggle to get back into the mix of things. He had some impressive outings with the bull and the big win in Main Event pushes him right into the Power Rankings ahead of his 3MB friends.

#23 Fandango (Previous Rank- Nil)

The Ball Room dancer got one over Emma and Santino this week despite being knocked off by the Shield in a memorable fashion. WWE is cashing in on the feud between Fandango and Santino, which looks like it is heading for a match at Extreme Rules as well.

#22 Alberto Del Rio (Previous Rank- 19)

Del Rio continued to drop down the paradigm this week after picking up losses in Main Event and SmackDown. He couldn’t cope with the run of Big E at Main Event while the tag loss against Shield was nothing softer.

#21 Jack Swagger (Previous Rank- 20)

The Real American was in no mood to search for a new partner this week since he has busy playing spoils sport for Cesaro. He cost the King of Swing the Intercontinental title shot but paid the price at SmackDown.

#20 Los Matadores (Previous Rank- 22)

Matadores started off their week with a win over 3MB on Raw but failed to continue the run at Main Even after El Torito fell to Hornswoggle. But it didn’t hold them from climbing up two places in the rankings and ending up in 20th.

#19 Alexandre Rusev (Previous Rank- 21)

Rusev featured in a bit longer matches this week but the outcome didn’t change. He dominated Sin Cara on Raw and sent a clear message to Xavier Woods and R-Truth who will face him at Extreme Rules in a handicap match.

#18 Undertaker (Previous Rank-15)

As Paul Heyman’s each reminder seeps into the heart of everyone in the WWE Universe, Taker continues to slip down the Power Rankings due to the inactivity. There are no rumors or reports of him returning anytime also which is never a great thing for the fans.

#17 Rybaxel (Previous Rank-18)

Ryback and Curtis Axel climbs up one place in the Power Rankings after having singles win over Usos on Main Event and SmackDown. Shield however was a bit too much for them but the Tag titles seem to be the target for Rybaxel now.

#16 Tamina (Previous Rank- 16)

Newly crowned No.1 contender for the Divas title piled up her momentum with a win over Natalya in SmackDown. Paige also admitted that she is petrified about Tamina which puts the second generation superstar in a good position to avenge for AJ Lee.

#15 Kane (Previous Rank- 17)

The masked Kane emerged as a merciless monster when he gave Daniel Bryan a series of piledrivers. He wasn’t following the orders of Stephanie McMahon as well even though she was shouting her tongue out. The whole incident just made Kane a dangerous opponent for Bryan at Extreme Rules as well.

#14 Big Show (Previous Rank- 12)

After his last week’s heroics against Damien Sandow, Big Show decided to stay away from the squared circle this week. The inactivity costs him two places in the rankings and he will have to do something big to cover the ground.

#13 Sheamus (Previous Rank- 11)

Sheamus produced a great effort against Bad News Barrett on Raw but failed to convert it into a win. But he compensated it with a win over Titus O’Neil in Main Event and The Celtic Warrior drops down two places ending up in 11th.

#12 Paige (Power Rank -13)

Within just a couple of weeks in the main roster, Paige has established herself as the top name in the Divas Division. She continued her impressive run with a win over Aksana on Raw and now has her eyes set on Tamina for Extreme Rules.

#11 Bad News Barrett (Previous Rank- 14)

Barrett getting a fair and square win against Sheamus was a big talking point from Raw. He was certainly over with the fans when he stepped into the ring and looks almost set to capitalize on that by winning the Intercontinental title.

#10 Cesaro (Previous Rank- 9)

The King of Swing had a shocking defeat to Rob Van Dam on Raw after Swagger decided to get involved. He however, settled the scores on SmackDown with a win but has been knocked out of the chase for Intercontinental title.

#9 The Usos (Previous Rank- 7)

The reigning Tag Team Champions took losses against Ryback and Curtis Axel in singles competitions. This drags them down two spots in the rankings but it won’t matter if they manage to pull off winning efforts as a team.

#8 Rob Van Dam (Previous Rank- 10)

Mr. Monday night edged closer to getting his hands on the gold after defeating Cesaro on Raw. he also had a piece of advice for Cesaro after the match but will have to face some bad news himself next week if he is to get to Big E.

#7 Big E (Previous Rank-8)

Big E seems to have found a bit of his momentum that he lost after earning back to back wins. He has a target painted on his back at Extreme Rules however, and the only thing he needs to know will be who his date is going to be.

#6 John Cena (Previous Rank-4)

The Cenation leader didn’t have an answer to the Wyatt Family on Raw as he was embarrassed in the handicap match. The post-match assault made things worse for Cena as Bray just cradled him and started singing with a grin on his face.

#5 Shield (Previous Rank- 6)

The Hounds of justice made it clear to evolution that it’s going to be all out war at Extreme Rules. They then went on to SmackDown to take care of everyone with Fandango being the pick of the lot. Justice was served to the core and Evolution clearly has their handful.

#4 Daniel Bryan (Previous Rank- 3)

Bryan returned to a warm welcome on Raw this week but ended up being stretchered out of the arena. Kane simply unleashed the wrath upon the flying goat while the fans were left silent. Bryan will be struggling to keep his title in tact at Extreme Rules since the Big Red Monster is keen to make Bryan’s lie a living hell.

#3 Wyatt Family (Previous Rank- 5)

The Wyatt Family proved too much for John Cena this week thanks to the mix of creepiness and dominance that they bought into the squared circle. Bray pulled off two very impressive promos throughout the week and will be looking to live up to the words once he gets into the steel cage with Cen.

#2 Brock Lesnar (Previous Rank- 2)

Lesnar hasn’t made an appearance after the Raw which followed WrestleMania. But the presence of Lesnar looms around the WWE Universe thanks to some reminders from Paul Heyman. The fact that the broke the legendary streak itself will be enough to keep him in the place for some time as the inactivity doesn’t bother it.

#1 Evolution (Previous Rank- 1)

The Evolution came out in their signature formals this week on Raw and managed matter in with their usual class. Shield was breathing down their face on Monday Night but the trio saved it for Extreme Rules, ensuring a treat for the fans.
