WWE Power Rankings: 7 June, 2014

WWE followed up Payback well with an earth shattering Raw which just turned the WWE upside down. After getting their second consecutive win over Evolution and establishing themselves as the top stable in the company, Shield exploded as Seth Rollins decided to align with Triple H.It was the top headline throughout the week and WWE did well to take the angle to SmackDown as well. In the mid card, it was the two titles being tangled together when Sheamus, Bad News Barrett, Rob Van Dam and Cesaro were getting in the skin of eachother. The future of John Cena and Bray Wyatt was the only one which didnt unfold as Daniel Bryan got one last chance to save his title at Money in the Bank. With all being said, here is a look at the Power Rankings for this week.

#25 Natalya (Previous Rank- Nil)

Natalya fell short against Charlotte at NXT Takeover but silenced her critics with a good win against Alicia Fox. Since Fox was the previous No.1 contender for the Divas title, Natalya might well be the next one to get a shot at Paige which she thoroughly deserves.

#24 Jack Swagger (Previous Rank- 23)

Swagger still lingers around the midcard without much of a push to speak about. The only good thing which is going his way is Adam Rose but that too, isn’t getting Swagger any wins. Zeb Colter should really start thinking about getting Swagger some good matches instead of making a deporting list every week.

#23 Bo Dallas (Previous Rank- 24)

Bo didn’t get his pay-per-view time though it was planned but collected a couple of victories throughout the week. The good run continues for Bo Dallas and he seemed to be gathering some followers with his inspirational speeches and action between the ropes.

#22 Adam Rose (Previous Rank- 22)

Rose once against showed to the fans that it’s not all about the party when he defeated Jack Swagger in a solid match. The Exotic express is slowly getting over with the fans and soon he might be well placed for some storyline backed feuds.

#21 Alicia Fox (Previous Rank- 19)

Alicia had a shaky week this time after losing out to Paige at Payback. She managed to score a win against Nikki Bella at Raw but stumbled upon Natalya in SmackDown. The post-match dilemma which Alicia shows still grabs attention and might take her places.

#20 Dolph Ziggler (Previous Rank- 18)

Dolph Ziggler was great in the ring as always but couldn’t transform them into wins which has dropped him down two places in the rankings. He also lost of a chance to be in the Money in the Bank match on Raw which wraps up the disappointing week for Ziggler.

#19 Rybaxel (Previous Rank- 20)

Ryback and Curtis Axel were on a role at Payback where they ended the brotherhood of Cody Rhodes and Goldust. They also haunted Goldust on Raw but failed to replicate the magic against the Tag team champions at SmackDown.

#18 Big Show (Previous Rank- 17)

Show started off his week by taking off Damien Sandow on Raw. He also showed the guts to stand up against Hunter but paid the price for it when Evolution preyed upon him. The embarrassing end at SmackDown drops Big Show one place in the Rankings.

#17 Alberto Del Rio (Previous Rank- Nil)

Del Rio has resurfaced in the Power Rankings thanks to a win against Dolph Ziggler which puts him in the Money in the Bank match. Del Rio will now have to pile up his momentum ahead of the big match which might turn around things for him.

#16 Kane (Previous Rank- 13)

Kane continued his destruction at Payback when he took down Kofi Kingston. However, the same didn’t happen against John Cena who fought back against the Big Red Monster. The result costs Kane his place in the rankings, but he is not someone who will be worried about that.

#15 Los Matadores (Previous Rank-15)

El Torito managed to dispatch him opponent successfully at Payback and in turn saved his mask. The Matadores then picked up a win in the week as well which keeps them rooted to the 15th place in the Rankings. However, no other feud looks to be in the horizon now which is concerning.

#14 Rusev (Previous Rank- 14)

Rusev got an impressive win over Big E at Payback and followed up with a ceremony on RAW. He also piled up his message to America by making Xavier Woods tap out. The Big E chapter might not be over yet and we could still see some good matches between the two.

#13 Big E (Previous Rank- 10)

The patriotism running through his veins wasn’t enough for Big E to get a win over the Bulgarian Brute at Payback. He gained his momentum a bit after snatching a win against Titus O’Neil in Superstars but Big E needs to push himself is he is to stay in the Power Rankings.

#12 The Usos (Previous Rank- 12)

The Usos played the good guys at Payback and had the back of John Cena. They got served for their sins from Wyatt Family who defeated the Tag champions on Raw. The SmackDown win was a good sign for the Usos who stays put in their previous rank.

#11 Paige (Previous Rank- 11)

Paige defended her title successfully against Alicia Fox on Payback and came out as the winner against Cameron as well. Cameron might be the next challenger that Paige is going to be faced with which is a disappointment for the fans who wanted to see Natalya in that place.

#10 Rob Van Dam (Previous Rank- 9)

Mr. Monday Night had a lot of opportunity to get the Intercontinental title away from Bad News Barrett but failed to do that at all instance for one reason or the other. Money in the Bank now looks to be the most suitable destination for Van Dam after Cesaro expressed his desire in the Intercontinental title.

#9 Cesaro (Previous Rank- 6)

Cesaro delivered a great match against Sheamus at Payback but didn’t convert his performance into a win. He also revealed that he is interested in the Intercontinental title now which seemed like a move of desperation from Paul Heyman and his client.

#8 Daniel Bryan (Previous Rank- 5)

The in ring inactivity is really costing Daniel Bryan his place in the Power Rankings but he somehow manages to keep the fans buzzing. He will now be faced with the real test at Money in the Bank where he will either lose his title or let Kane travel in a stretcher.

#7 Bad News Barrett (Previous Rank- 8)

Barrett had a busy week which started off from Payback where he defeated Rob Van Dam. He then had two title defenses throughout the week and managed to walk out of the both with his title intact. The future contenders are unknown for champion but he will be looking forward to it.

#6 Sheamus (Previous Rank- 7)

The Celtic warrior fended off his challengers with some good effort to keep hold of his title. Unlike the scenario with Bad News Barrett, Sheamus is yet to know who all are circling around to steal away his title which keeps his future up in the air.

#5 Shield (Previous Rank- 2)

They came off with a historic win over Evolution on Sunday only to explode on Raw. It was a moment that all the fans wanted to see but the timing proved to be the biggest swerve. What future holds for Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns is unknown, but it will have something to do with Seth Rollins.

#4 Seth Rollins (Previous Rank- Nil)

Last time the power rankings came out, Seth Rollins was in the pack of the Hounds of justice and this time he a lone wolf who is loyal to Hunter. The split is going to wonder for the career of Rollins who didn’t really get the stage till now.

#3 Wyatt Family (Previous Rank- 3)

Bray Wyatt didn’t manage to answer the 10 count on Payback and followed up by saying that he was reborn. On the other hand, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper had a great victory over the tag team champions which helped the Wyatt Family to stay third.

#2 John Cena (Previous Rank- 4)

The Cenation leader withstood the monstrous ways of Bray Wyatt and picked up the win at Payback. He also had the same situation at Raw and the two positive endings help Cena to get into the second place in the Power Rankings.

#1 Evolution

They might’ve lost out to Shield at Payback but Evolution struck back strong on Raw by making Seth Rollins break away from the hounds of justice. The absence of Batista will not be big problems as it seems and now Evolution will be looking to pounce on the situation of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
