Deadman dominatesThe final RAW before SummerSlam aired from Brock Lesnars hometown and it was built up for weeks about how big this show is going to be. Afterall, its a go- home show for a huge PPV which has been extended to a 4 hour spectacular. The show did not disappoint for the most part. The promo packages for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn and Stardust vs Amell were particularly awesome.SummerSlam is right around the corner. The excitement is palpable. Matches were announced and Lesnar, Cena and Undertaker were all in the building somewhere. Here are the 5 Promising developments for the very near future-

#5 The villain

The villain stands tall

How many could have predicted the Stardust VS Stephen Amell to be one of the most entertaining feuds heading to SummerSlam. The promo for their tag match was perfect. It explained Stardust’s character so well.

The guy is living the gimmick and he has mixed up Stephen Amell with his television persona of a superhero called ‘The Green Arrow’.This is Stardust at his best. His backstage promo with Barrett was hilarious and effective for the right reasons.

Stardust has shades of the Joker yet there’s something entirely different about the way he plays his character. He’s living in his own cosmic world. And hopefully, this gimmick continues long after Summerslam.

#4 Putting over Banks

The Banks statement

Here’s the thing, this Champion Vs Champion match between Bella and Banks could have been reserved for a bigger occasion.

Seriously, there is no other story in the main roster Divas division than the ‘revolution’ which has only meant longer matches and two matches a night, which is fine but they also deserve a good story.

But despite all of that, this match showed Banks as the clear favorite. She was spectacular. Bella is a heel and so is Banks. Banks mocking Bella was one of the highlights of the match. This revolution has really put Banks over as a worthy contender for the divas title. Banks made Bella tap out.

#3 Seth Rollins promo

The champion who never shuts up

Well, if you followed Rollins’ work in the WWE since he was in FCW, you’ll admit that he’s a better wrestler than a promo worker. But a lot has happened since those FCW days. Rollins just can’t stop talking now.

He’s a great heel champion. He’s smarmy, of course, but it takes a certain amount of skill to really excel in that quality. His promo on Cena being a villain who held the WWE Championship so many times struck a chord with the audience.

His demands of having a statue and his feelings about Cena all contributed in making his match versus Cena worth the wait.

#2 Those uppercuts

Momentum Surge

Cesaro was in another tag match this week, but it can’t overcome the fact that Cesaro is over with the crowd. His wrestling style is beautiful every time he has a match.

Also, Cesaro had several pushes that have been abandoned as many times but it can’t be ignored that whenever he’s received those pushes, the audience has only embraced that move. This may or may not be one of those times.

But till then, it’s a delight to watch Cesaro in the ring and actually win matches.

#1 The beast slayer?

Deadman stands tall

Well, the heel turn is complete now. If you attack a man in his hometown with a low blow, you have to be evil, add to that Brock Lesnar did not even make a return. He was on the receiving end of a low blow then a chokeslam and finally a tombstone piledriver.

Lesnar walks into SummerSlam a face, if that wasn’t clear by now. There are clear role specifications here and the story is well- written as well. The characters are perfect. How great was it to see Heyman sing the folklores of Lesnar?
