Top 6 WWE superstars who can be the next big thing

This might be the time when the baton gets passed on. For a long time, a select few superstars have been regulars in the main event scene. Now, the WWE seems to be placing its trust on a select few superstars from the younger generation. And the prime contenders for this generation seem to Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns. With the Shield going its separate way, that has also gave way to an exciting feud between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. And as far as the Battle Royal on Raw was concerned, the last remaining superstars apart from Reigns were Bo Dallas and Rusev. Their journey from NXT to the main roster has been hyped and publicized well, more than any other NXT superstar or diva. That certainly shows the kind of trust the management has on these superstars. While there is a hierarchy in that trust, the steps that these superstars are supposed to take and how they go about it, will determine their road ahead in the WWE

#1 Dean Ambrose

His gimmick and the way Ambrose performs it has made it the best transformation any other Shield member has had yet. The aura of a renegade that Ambrose carries around makes him look even more cool. He is confident and his promos don’t seem mechanical as most of the roster.

The way he talked about deconstructing Rollins’ face set the bar quite high for promos. He was so into it that he dropped the mic like he put a stomping full stop to his promo, without realizing that Reigns had to speak as well.

Ambrose was so good that Reigns’ promo seemed like a lull after a storm. The lull would have been better if it was before the storm. And also, Ambrose owned his new look. Jeans and all. I hope the WWE just lets him be.

#2 Bray Wyatt

Just like Ambrose, Wyatt has a way with his promos. He becomes his gimmick. He and his family seem creepier and a force to be reckoned with because of the way they carry themselves and the way Bray Wyatt performs his promos. He has probably improved a lot in his matches as well.

Though his feud with Cena was not something to remember for the kind of matches they provided but for the kind of build up that went for those matches. Wyatt’s performance single-handedly set the foundation for the feud.

It will be exciting to see Ambrose and Wyatt going one on one on the mic. That will be great for whatever’s left of the fictionality of the WWE in this reality era. And as far as their characters go, their feud might become stranger than fiction.

#3 Seth Rollins

Probably the coolest wrestler from The Shield. He reminds many of Jeff hardy but the way he carries himself is so much different than Jeff Hardy. He provided the most exciting moments in all the Shield matches and many relevant and game changing moments included.

His heel turn will be remembered by the most ardent WWE fan for forever. Ideally, Rollins would have been pictured as a babyface but this turn has proved that he can work well in any avatar. His promos have considerably improved but they still have a mechanical glitch to them otherwise his wrestling persona is better than most.

#4 Rusev

His theme song is intimidating. His manager is intimidating as well. But the man himself who’s supposed to be intimidating seems to have been bitten by the ‘Creative has nothing for you’ bug. In any other era, this gimmick would have been an instant hit.

Lana is great as a manager and comes across as being much better than Rusev. Rusev has been dealing with too many squash matches. His presence should be short and sweet but that mystique should be there. These squash matches don’t do a zilch of what they are supposed to- raise excitement surrounding the superstar.

If anything, it’s time for him to have an equal. Because there seems to be more potential in him than many other superstars who went through the squash matches drill.

#5 Bo Dallas

He is just getting started but his overtly smiley demeanor and the façade he carries around himself of being a motivational coach only to give way for his aggression, makes him a character that one can easily react to.

He is supposed to be comedic but does not seem like he’ll fit in with Santino or Fandango. WWE has better plans for him and he seems to be getting there gradually but steadily. He has not had a good match or good feud yet but his character has not suffered from that. He will rise, it seems. He is doing just fine. Bo-lievably fine.

#6 Roman Reigns

The heir apparent is finally getting the push that was always expected and reported. After all, who can ignore those looks that are protocol to every superstar that has ever received a massive push since Triple H began taking the reins of the company.

But he still has to work on his promos and matches. I mean, looks can only get you this far. His style of talking is not unique and his moves seem like they come with the expiry date that John Cena had on his moves and which he still seems to exceed. He is the chosen one, it seems. So expect more hype in the coming days.
