WWE WrestleMania 32: 5 Shocking things that could happen at the pay-per-view

You can never count out the possibility of Cena returning?

The return that would blow the roof of the place – CM PunkWrestleMania 32 needs something electric to happen. The idea of Undertaker and Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match might have been an appetizer for things to come as the road to the event gets smaller and anticipation grows larger. There is a chance this year’s event could be very solid with ‘Taker and McMahon (or his replacement), Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose and possibly AJ Styles and Kevin Owens going toe to toe against each other. Also read: WWE Wrestlemania: 5 Shocking Facts You Didn’t KnowBut as well know, fans want more. They want to be shocked. They want to be pleased. Most of all, they want to talk about this event like it was the best thing they ever saw. Not many wrestling events these days can say that. There is so much transition in the company right now, any change or surprise is worthy of a huge pop from the fans, something WWE really needs. Shane McMahon’s return to the company may have been the catalyst for change – an edgier program, more risks taken and a chance to see the McMahon’s fight amongst themselves. In any event, the company still needs more for WrestleMania 32 to be viewed as a success. Here are five potential moves that could make the show in Dallas unforgettable.

#1 John Cena replaces Shane McMahon versus Undertaker

You can never count out the possibility of Cena returning?

It is just short of coming true. There has to be a fly in the ointment to this kind of match. Undertaker even told Vince McMahon on Monday night, “You know what I do. Your boys’ blood will be on your hands.”

It was chilling yet sedate and did not have as much of a punch as it could have. The mere thought of Cena stepping out from the back and coming down the aisle as the proxy to save WWE and give Shane McMahon control of Raw and the company is all too easy.

In reality, it’s exactly what the match needs – an intervention.

Cena vs. Undertaker has been pitched for some time. It also probably would have been booked had Cena not had a shoulder surgery. Now that Shane has entered the picture, if Cena is cleared to wrestle, it’s a no-brainer if he does returns.

#2 A Roman Reigns heel turn

Bad guy Reigns is best for business and the guy himself.

This works if somehow Dean Ambrose beats Triple H for the WWE World Title prior to WrestleMania 32, prompting the two “friends” to once again get in the ring.

Steve Austin has been very candid of late about his thoughts on Reigns and how fans have not accepted him as the chosen leader of the next generation of WWE superstars. He said a heel turn would certainly get him over with the fans and let him develop some more before a babyface turn to the delight of the hardcore masses.

It worked for Austin, it worked for The Rock and it could work for Reigns. Right now, Triple H is viewed as the face in this match. There is so much animosity toward Reigns right now, something has to happen to keep him on that main event level. A heel turn does that immediately.

#3 The Rock comes back to WrestleMania And Gets Booed

Another negative fan backlash around the corner?

Just like the Royal Rumble, The Rock may be called upon to help save his cousin’s backside. If you recall, Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble to a chorus of boos in Philadelphia. The Rock came out to help his cousin celebrate, which only made it worse because it was forced.

There is no role for The Rock yet, and we all know the WWE World Title match is not exciting by fans’ standards and it is almost guaranteed that Reigns wins in Dallas. There has to be something “stunning” to make this all worthwhile.

The Rock is still loved by the millions (and millions) of WWE fans. Anything he does in Dallas will have a huge impact on the show.

#4 Linda McMahon shows up in Dallas

Linda McMahon – The missing jinx in the McMahon saga

There is something about the McMahon Family that has become a guilty pleasure. Wrestling’s First Family are even more fun to watch when they are fighting amongst themselves. The return of Shane McMahon guarantees plenty of Jerry Springer-like television.

And what fun would it be if the Matriarch of the family, Linda McMahon happened to show her face in the match between her son and The Undertaker? Vince’s words Monday night on Raw almost assure that of happening, if not before the big event.

Linda McMahon has kept about as low a profile as possible since she made a run for the Congress. Now that her political aspirations may be on hold for a while, another try to find peace amongst the masses might be what is best for business.

The idea of Linda and Shane on one side of the ring and Vince and Stephanie on the other is almost salacious.

#5 CM Punk\'s Dallas reunion

A Punk return is highly unlikely but can never be counted out.

Now that the former WWE superstar has been added to the “Alumni” section of the company website, is this even a possibility?

Anything is possible, and the longer it takes for Punk to make his UFC debut, the more doubts I have of him ever getting in an octagon. Punk is still a wrestler who resonates with the fans, especially now that Daniel Bryan has retired from the ring.

The thought, and it’s just a thought, of Punk coming to the ring at some point in the night (in the Undertaker/McMahon match) would blow the walls apart in Dallas. Punk wants nothing more than to exact revenge on Vince and Triple H.

He could do it very simply by showing his face to the delight of the crowd. If Bryan is retired, Seth Rollins and John Cena are still injured and Roman Reigns is a hated babyface, what better way to stir the drink than to watch the McMahon clan turn white from surprise and fear.
