WWE Wrestlemania XXX: Match card analysis and predictions

The anticipation levels for WrestleMania are on the rise as the days to the legendary pay-per-view as we head deep into the road to New Orleans. Riding on the wave of expectations, WWE has put together five big matches which are already making the fans drool. With the prospect of Daniel Bryan being in the main event alive and running, the WWE Universe is no longer ignorant about the PPV which provides the company a great platform to make this one count.Big names like The Shield, Usos, Kane and many more are yet to find a spot in the match card which would only made clear as we head further. But till then, here is a look at the analysis and predications for the five matches that we have in our hands now.

#5 Andr the Giant Memorial Battle Royal(30-man battle royal for the Andr the Giant Memorial Trophy)

All the participants for this match is yet to be announced by the company but from the looks of it, it’s just going to be packed with midcarder who won’t get a spot in the match card in any other way.

Names like Fandango, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Alberto Del Rio, Miz, Dolph Ziggler and some more falls into that list while there is certain other who might make a big impact without winning it.

Alexandre Rusev is someone that could make the headlines with this one since the company is hot behind his push. He already got a stage at Royal Rumble and is likely to deliver a similar show at the battle royal also.

Meanwhile, Big E has been a surprise addition to the match and it’s a weird decision to let him participate in the battle royal rather than defending his title. But Big E will be confined to something much smaller and wouldn’t have any chances of winning the trophy.

The potential winners in the match would however be the Real Americans. The friction between Jack Swagger and Cesaro has been in the spotlight for some time now and it is sure to explode if they enter the Battle Royal

Both will be bound to prove who the better man is and it will be the only fight in the match having some kind of storyline backup.

From the two, Cesaro is a clear favorite since he is lined up for a big push after WrestleMania. Aided by a face turn, he is scheduled to go places after this and a win at WrestleMania would be the inception of things.

Prediction: Antonio Cesaro wins

#4 John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

Arguably the biggest match of Bray’s short and creepy career, this one is something which could steal the show from all other big matches.

From what we saw till now, we are heading for an extravagant build up between the two since both men have excellent microphone abilities. This will be an added pressure for the company since the expectations of the fans will be on an all-time high due to such a buildup.

Bray will be having a tough time in the ring once the match kicks off as Cena is no Daniel Bryan to make his opponent look good. It’s going to be nothing more than a typical Cena match were the Cenation leader will be battered to core and projected like an underdog.

But unlike all his matches, Cena will not come out of this as the winner since WWE wouldn’t want to give Bray a losing start at WrestleMania.

A tainted win is well on the card with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper being the likely catalysts. Whatever the path be, Bray is going to walk out of this match as the winner but don’t expect the quality of performance that we saw in Royal Rumble.

Predictions: Bray Wyatt wins

#3 The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar might be one of the most physically challenging opponents that the Undertaker has faced in recent history and that’s a fact to which the match will be confined.

The traditional streak match might well be on its way to disappoint as Taker is in no condition whatsoever to give a five star match.

The two alternative styles will also be hard to digest for the fans. Paul Heyman is bound to attract some great reactions throughout the match and we might even see a situation where the whole match will be resting on his interactions.

Way in which this match is booked could break or make the streak’s legacy. WWE could easily add to the intriguing underdog situation or they could mess up by over booking a physically tiring Taker.

But one thing that is certain to happen in the extension of Taker’s legendary run. WWE would not be eager to give a part timer like Lesnar the honor of breaking the streak and this somewhat casts some predictability shade into the match.

Taker will walk out of WrestleMania with 22-0 on the screen and hopefully would return next year for one last dance.

Predictions: Undertaker Wins

#2 Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H

The ultimate depiction of the American dream, this is one match which will be full-fledged with emotions.

Triple H will be looking to end the Yes movement and bury Daniel Bryan for the good while Bryan on the other hand will be fighting with his life to get to his child hood dream.

Any match involving Bryan is sure to have fan involvement and that’s why this one is a sure hit no matter which way the company decides to book Bryan and Hunter. Stephanie McMahon and the rest of the Authority will throw in every bit of sand to make sure that Bryan won’t win the match. And all this will make the match more interesting.

Bryan’s triumph after all these will be something special and Triple H wouldn’t mind falling for the Flying goat as well. The company needs Bryan to win the match as it is the only way to keep the fans on their seat for the rest of the night.

However, Bryan should be protected in some way since he is pulling double duty on the biggest night of the Wrestling business.

Winner: Daniel Bryan Wins

#1 Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton vs. Batista (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Daniel Bryan’s inclusion into the main event will give it a sudden breath of life since without him it’s just a stale match which is not worth the WrestleMania status.

Glimpses of how great the match can be were shown some weeks ago on Raw when all these men crossed paths and with such a big stage at their disposal it’s going to be pure fireworks.

Bryan earning his place in the match earlier in the night will be a great sub plot and the possibilities of Triple H getting involved makes it more intriguing. Batista’s flaws will easily be hidden thanks to Bryan and Orton’s skills as well.

After having a lot of close calls Orton will finally drop his title in this match leaving him out of the race to win the match.

And with Bryan and Batista left with the chances to win, Bryan will clearly be the fan favorite as he always has been.

But what happens after Bryan wins the title?

His yes movement will lose its sting and Bryan’s popularity could take a big dip. This makes Batista winning the match an ideal situation.

Batista will be in the company till SummerSlam and giving him the title at WrestleMania would help the company to push Bryan’s underdog status through to the summer. Fans are clearly going to be unhappy with the end, but it is the best for business decision for the long run.

Predictions: Batista wins
