Lee clinched a gold medal in the balance beam event where she scored 14.600 points. Just below her was Simone Biles with a score of 14.55 points. The 2020 Tokyo gold medalist also performed on the floor for the first time since the Tokyo Olympics.

"The best feeling in the world."

Dunne, impressed by Lee's comeback and commendable performance, commented,

"So good."

Suni Lee opens up after her performance at the US Core Hydration Classic

After the conclusion of the US Core Hydration Classic, Suni Lee was content and stoked with her performance. She opened up about how the competitions have acted as a confidence booster. She stated,

"It was really important for me to go out there and fight to fight those demons. These competitions have been helping me build my confidence up."

Competing on the floor first time since the Tokyo Olympics, Lee expressed,

"I really wanted to get out there and compete on floor. It's been a while. Obviously not the routine that I want for upcoming competitions, but I really just wanted to get out there again."

Reflecting upon her performance at the Core Hydration Classic, Lee revealed that she wanted to do it for herself. She expressed,

"I just really want to be able to do this for myself. I want to be able to walk away and just know that I gave everything that I had instead of just giving up and not making it."

Lee is now also focusing on the all-around. From focusing on disciplines like balance beam and bars, she is now also paying attention to the all-around discipline. She stated,

"I think at the beginning it was just like I was trying to focus on bars and beam. Whereas now I'm like hungrier to be able to be in the all-around. So that's just been the main priority."

Suni Lee, after her incredible performances, has now been added to the American classic roster alongside Gabby Douglas and Jade Carey.
