3 possible endings for the Randy Orton-Batista match at WrestleMania XXX

Stale, Staler, Stalest

Stale, Staler, Stalest

What was the first thing you did after Batista won the Royal Rumble? Did you smash the remote control or just threw away the television through the window? Whatever you did in dismay, welcome to the world of disappointed WWE fans that are fed up with the creative team.

In what was one of the worst booking decision ever made by the company, Randy Orton and Batista are bound on a collision course which will culminate with a WrestleMania main event.

Well I know what you are thinking now, and we have some similarities with Mick Foley don’t we?

However, one thing that we have to learn with is the fact that Randy Orton and Batista will be in the main event of the legendary pay-per-view no matter how stale they are.

And since they are going to be there, the question now arise is how the match will end up with no heat whatsoever from the WWE universe. The sheer size of the stage that will host this match drowns the creative in a lot of pressure making them desperate to save the company’s face.

So let’s take a look at how the match could end up amidst all the criticism.

3- Stale possibility

The easiest way to make the fans riot

This is the sure thing that will happen if the WWE doesn’t make any alterations to the match. No one wants to watch two stale heels in the company fighting it out for the unified title at such a big stage.

Orton has failed to evoke any other emotion than hate among the WWE Universe for so long now and Batista’s return has only been a big plan that went completely wrong.

Fans who have been taking over even the weekly shows with their negative chants will easily start to blow off the two wrestlers even before the bell rings. When WWE want the whole arena of people to cheer for their matches, but for this one the only thing they are going to get is an arena full of jeers.

And no one can’t blame them either as they literally has nothing to cheer about in this one.

With Batista selling even undelivered super kicks, the match wouldn’t be a technical marvel as well leaving a disaster main event that will overshadow every undercard match no matter how good they were.

Bryan will be put in a match with Triple H in the undercard which would give the option for the fans to walk out before this match finally happens.

2- The Added Stipulation

Oh Yes

Oh Yes

Daniel Bryan is “the” most over guy in the company at the moment and one can simply say that most of the fans spend their money to see the sheer intensity that he brings into the ring.

From the looks of it, Daniel Bryan is currently heading for a semi-main event match with Triple H which is simply not what he deserves.

So the best way to make thing work out at WrestleMania would be to add a stipulation to the Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan match. And the stipulation would be, if Bryan wins he gets a guaranteed shot for the WWE title like money in the bank contract with his career on the line if the opposite happens.

Bryan could then go on to win the match against Triple H and cash in that contract later on the main even making it a Triple threat match. The flying goat wouldn’t have any trouble putting in double time for WrestleMania and his inclusion at the main event is what the fans want.

Bryan overcoming the odds and winning the title even after it being the second match of the night will be a story worth remembering. Batista and Orton could be made relevant with this also since Bryan makes his opponents look good no matter how stale they are.

1- The biggest Swerve of PG Era

Got one Twist For You

The Mark Henry retirement angle was one of the best swerves that the creative pulled on the WWE Universe in recent history. Well they still haven’t pulled of something similar with a main event at talent (With all respect to Henry), and there won’t be a better place to do this than WrestleMania itself.

How?

Well it’s simple; bring out Vince McMahon before the Batista vs. Orton match. McMahon who has been out for so long will surely make a big pop among the fans who are gearing up for a big jeer fest.

Coming out from nowhere, Vince could express his displeasure in the booking that Triple has been making over the year. He could then add a touch of his own into the main even by making it a triple threat match.

And the third wrestler is…CM Punk.

Punk returning for the WrestleMania main event supported by Mr. McMahon and ready to be inserted into a stale match will surely make the fans go wild. The fact that Punk’s absence has been a storyline the whole time will make the WWE Universe happier.

Making Punk win the match over two top heels will be a sure hit with the fans and WWE could end WrestleMania on a high note which will be the best thing for business as well.
