3 Stipulations Which The 'Ambrose vs Rollins' Match Should Get And 2 Which It Should Not  

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are all set to battle for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC on December 16. WWE made this match official at the Survivor Series pay-per-view where Rollins was informed about his next title defense in a backstage interview. The WWE Creative have shockingly not given a stipulation to this match, which will undoubtedly be RAW's main feud over the next weeks. Perhaps, they would be waiting for the right time since they are still 3 episodes of RAW until TLC and given the limits Ambrose crossed to torment Rollins this week, expect a stipulation to be added sooner rather than later.

With the traditional TLC match set to take place between the Monster Among Men Braun Strowman and Acting General Manager of RAW Baron Corbin, the WWE Creative would not give the same stipulation to the IC title match. So, here are the 3 stipulations which the WWE Creative should give to the title match and 2 which they should not:

#1 Should Get - Ladders Match

The two have earlier clashed in a ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

The two superstars have had a feud with each other in the past and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was the title involved in that feud. They had clashed for the championship in a ladder match at the Money in the Bank PPV and had an epic match. So, there is no doubt that the WWE Creative should give this match a ladders stipulation.

With the IC title hanging high in the air, these two superstars can tear each other apart to win the gold. Also, WWE could protect Rollins by having Ambrose hit him with a low blow on the ladder and steal the title. We have seen how magnificently Seth can use the ladders during the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV in April.

#1 Should Not Get - Tables Match

We do not want to see the match end after the breaking of just 1 table!

The last tables match at the TLC pay-per-view was between Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch in 2016. WWE Universe loves tables and superstars going through tables but the concept of a tables match may not suit a match with this intensity. Both the superstars have developed quite a personal rivalry and a tables match would be a dumb stipulation to this match. Sure, the WWE can extend this feud by not having a clean ending in the tables match but TLC is the one time of the year where the Tables, Ladders and Chairs are used without limits.

Ending the match with just one table break would not be a good way to tell a story and so, the WWE Creative should avoid adding such a stipulation to this match.

#2 Should Get - No Holds Barred Match, Falls Count Anywhere

Ambrose vs Rollins - No Holds Barred, who wins?

WWE Creative should have just one thing in mind that the premier title of Monday Night RAW the Universal title will not be defended at the TLC pay-per-view, which means the Intercontinental championship will be their top championship. They need to put on a solid match so as to bring more viewers towards their product and to have two of the best superstars clash in a no holds barred match would be just the best way to do so.

Ambrose betrayed his brother Seth Rollins just after winning the RAW tag team championships on a night where their brother Roman Reigns relinquished the Universal title due to Leukemia. Dean Ambrose generated a lot of heat with his actions and now the Kingslayer would want revenge and the best way to do that will be to have a no holds barred, falls count anywhere match between the two.

#2 Should Not Get - Chairs Match

Just like the Tables Match, WWE should avoid giving this match a 'Chairs Match' stipulation

The last time a chairs match took place in WWE was at TLC 2016 where Baron Corbin faced off Kalisto. That match was an undercard match and failed to live up to the expectations. The superstars do not have enough freedom in the match as they are allowed to use the chairs only. The chief reason why WWE Creative may well go with a chairs match is that they can end the match by having Dean Ambrose hit Rollins with a Dirty Deeds on the chair or can have the Architect stomp the Lunatic Fringe into the chair.

This match deserves a grander and a more extreme stipulation since it is the top feud of Monday Night RAW heading into WWE TLC. Chairs match between Ambrose and Rollins would be an underwhelming way to book the feud's first PPV match.

#3 Should Get - Last Man Standing Match

Dean Ambrose faced Kevin Owens in an Intercontinental Championship last-man-standing match at the Royal Rumble PPV in 2016 and boy did both the superstars deliver. They pulled off one of the most extreme matches of the PG era and both the wrestlers earned the wrestling community's respect after that bout. Well, Ambrose can have a match with the same stipulation with someone with whom he has shared the ring more than any one else.

Ambrose and Rollins have the potential to blow away the arena's roof at WWE TLC and the WWE Creative team should seriously consider giving this match a Last Man Standing stipulation.
