3 things that WWE did right this week, and 3 they didn't (29th & 30th of April)

Worked or didn't?
Worked or didn't?

It isn't easy for a company to create compelling television week in and out, but WWE still manages to keep things rolling for the WWE Universe. The laud should be given to the WWE creative and writing team that does their job to perfection, and while they try to make sense out of anything on TV, it doesn't connect with the fans every time

Despite the backlash or the praise the team receives, they still provide value through their work, and while some moves or storylines don't seem right, the company does everything to make it worthwhile.

This week too the company decided to do some things that would blow the fans away, and they did succeed in it. Here's listing the good, bad and the ugly from this week's episodes of the main show:

#1 Did Right: Bayley is on the right track

Bayley did a good performance between the ropes last week, and this week she continued the same work. Her match with Becky Lynch was phenomenal, and despite the outcome of the match, it was a treat to watch on TV.

She continues to move ahead as a singles competitor, and it would be nice to see her outshine her opponents in the Money in the Bank PPV on May 19th. While that is for another article, her performance over the weeks has made the WWE Universe believer in her and her in-ring skills.

It would be a great thing if she gets the push and is another name in the Women's championship storyline down the line. With such a performance, she will be a new and better option than the others that have been a part of the championship storyline.

Wouldn't it be great if she becomes a part of something more than the ongoing storyline?

#1 Didn't Do Right: Where's Robert Roode?

Robert Roode was a great new gimmick, but this week the Glorious One couldn't be found on the flagship show. It doesn't go well with a gimmick that needs to get a nod of agreement from the WWE Universe. The wrestler has been great in the ring, but with the gimmick still in its initial phase, the wrestler should have been on the show on Monday.

With the same not being done, the character may lose value and also the admiration of the fans. This is an important aspect, and the company should keep the same in mind to avoid any catastrophe. They did some work with another superstar, and the results have been promising.

Robert Roode also needs to get the good competition to put him through and get over the WWE Universe. Failing to do so, the entire effort will go in vein.

#2 Did Do Right: Bray Wyatt's gimmick

WWE has its savior back, as Bray Wyatt is now on TV. His Firefly Fun House segment received a backlash, and I did an entire article about it, but The Eater of Worlds is always evolving his character, and this week a new member was introduced: Rambling Rabbit.

The wrestler can do an entire story with this promo week in and out and still be relevant. He created a painting of the most horrendous act where Randy Orton burnt his house down, with his memories in it. This is the start of something that should be checked and understood because the twist and turns that the former Wyatt Family leader can bring about can't be denied.

He is a wrestler who has amazing talent by his side, but it needs more value and the company will definitely provide him the same to enhance the storyline.

#2 Didn't Do Right: Sonya Deville forfeits her spot

Sonya Deville relinquishing her spot in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match at the show of the same name not only diminishes her character but also creates a doubt in the minds of the fans if the performer is definitely worth the hype she receives.

She won her match at the Worlds Collide event, and it seemed like her push will be seen in weeks to come. But this act has set her push and character back. This isn't a good idea, because she has the skills to move ahead and be a contender for the Championship, but is this also a way to break the team and start singles competition matches down the line?

Well, if the latter is what the company plans to do, then this move shall be good, but it needs to be seen if the company really does make this move.

#3 Did Do Right: Universal and WWE Championship storylines

Golden Stories
Golden Stories

WWE and Universal Championship storylines reached a high point when the challenger attacked the Universal Champion while the opposite happened on Tuesday Nights. The two shows are the most loved ones, and the company ensured that we as a fanbase get to see the most amazing and intriguing storylines on weekly shows.

The two shows have seen the best segments during Championship storylines, and the fact that the wrestlers involved in them are masters of their craft speaks volumes about the work they do. The company has tried and done everything in its power to make sure the storylines don't derail and have the WWE Universe involved.

The set of work done by the company must be lauded in this aspect, and it would be nice to see how this pans out in weeks to come. Are you excited or not?

#3 Didn't Do Right: Is this really Bobby Lashley?

Bobby Lashley is a force to be reckoned with, but with The All Mighty now without a manager, he hasn't fared well on Monday Night. This week on Raw he was involved in a Miz TV segment where it didn't look like the powerful performer was given the opportunity that matched his caliber.

This is one of the segments that left everyone off because a good wrestler has been left to be a henchman for Shane McMahon. The two together may be able to keep things going for some time, but this isn't a worthy storyline or gimmick for him. The company should give him the opportunity to perform to his caliber through which he can raise the stakes of the storyline and the opponent as well in the process.

Is there something else that didn't seem right to you? Sound off in the comments.
