In front of the WWE cameras, Superstars settle their storyline differences in verbal and physical battles on Raw, SmackDown Live and NXT on a weekly basis.

Behind-the-scenes, full-time members of the WWE roster gather in the same locker room as their on-screen rivals to prepare for their segments and matches, while certain part-time Superstars are allowed to have their own locker room whenever they make rare appearances.

Once shows are over, Superstars usually travel together in rental cars to the town where the next WWE event takes place, but some talents have the privilege of relaxing on their own bus as somebody drives them to their next destination.

In this article, let’s take a look at three WWE Superstars who have their own locker room and three who have their own bus.

#6 Own locker room: Goldberg

Goldberg returned to WWE in October 2016 after a 12-year absence and he quickly re-established himself as a major player again by defeating Brock Lesnar in a match lasting just 86 seconds at Survivor Series.

Following a successful five-month run, the WCW legend returned to the ring for the first time in over two years when he fought The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in June 2019. However, he legitimately knocked himself out early on in the match and the rest of the first-time-ever encounter was full of errors and miscommunications.

This led to renewed criticism from NXT Superstar Matt Riddle, who revealed that he waited outside Goldberg’s personal locker room at SummerSlam 2019 in an attempt to have a conversation with the person who he has been calling out for several months.

On-screen, Goldberg’s locker room door has featured on WCW and WWE television multiple times in the past, usually when a member of his security team lets him know that his match or segment is up next.

Now, for anybody who doubted whether Goldberg’s personal locker room was legitimate, the recent comments from Riddle proved that the 2018 Hall of Fame inductee does indeed prepare for matches in a room by himself.

#5 Own bus: John Cena

John Cena travelled from town to town with Funaki, the Bashams, Tajiri and Ultimo Dragon during the early days of his WWE career.

Then, after gradually working his way up the card and becoming a regular main-eventer and multi-time World Champion, “Big Match John” made the smart decision to maintain his health and prolong his career by travelling on his own bus.

In September 2016, the topic of him riding on private buses and planes was brought up by on-screen rival Dean Ambrose, who mentioned on SmackDown Live that Cena had become “lazy” due to his extravagant lifestyle.

Cena defended himself on an episode of Talking Smack after the show, claiming that he needs to travel in the way that he does because he is constantly working and promoting shows outside of WWE.

On that particular day, the 16-time World Champion was set to jump on a plane to do media for Total Bellas, while he was also busy with reality show American Grit at the time.

#4 Own locker room: Brock Lesnar

It is no surprise that Brock Lesnar is one of the few WWE Superstars who receives his own locker room whenever he appears for the company.

Like Goldberg, the three-time Universal Champion’s personal locker room door is regularly shown on the rare occasions that he is on television, with Paul Heyman often leaving the room to speak to a backstage interviewer in the corridor.

One of the most memorable backstage segments involving “The Beast” came in July 2018 when Heyman was told by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle that he would lose his job if Lesnar did not agree to leave his locker room and appear in front of the WWE fans inside the arena.

At the time, the relationship between Lesnar and Heyman had become very dysfunctional, to say the least, and the former UFC star was shown ignoring his advocate whilst reading magazines on a sofa in his locker room.

#3 Own bus: Randy Orton

With 13 World Championships to his name, Randy Orton is a guaranteed future Hall of Famer.

However, throughout his successful career with WWE, Orton has suffered from various different injuries, including a broken clavicle, a herniated disc and multiple shoulder problems, so it is no wonder that “The Viper” opted to start riding on a comfortable bus instead of rental cars midway through his career.

Speaking to Hannibal TV in 2018, Orton’s father – “Cowboy” Bob Orton – revealed the other reasons why his son made the decision to ride by himself (quotes via Wrestling Inc.).

"Randy has his bus, so he never really goes anywhere except, you know, the bus. I think a few guys have that. Randy got the bus so he wouldn't get in any situations that weren't safe. He's got his bus, he's got a little kitchen, and you know, he's got his food. If he wants to have a beer or something, he does it on the bus. It's just a safe way to travel."

#2 Own locker room: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

During the Attitude Era, The Rock was one of several high-profile Superstars who would have been considered a locker room leader.

Nowadays, “The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment” is no longer an active in-ring competitor in WWE, so he has been given the privilege of receiving his own locker room when he makes appearances for the company.

Between 2011 and 2016, the WWE Superstar-turned-Hollywood movie star appeared in various different roles at six WrestleMania events in a row, but he has not participated on the show since defeating Erick Rowan in a six-second match at WrestleMania 32.

Unlike Brock Lesnar, who revealed on the ‘Stone Cold Podcast’ in 2015 that he keeps to himself backstage in WWE, The Rock has been shown giving words of advice to the company’s current Superstars during WrestleMania editions of ‘WWE 24’ on the WWE Network.

#1 Own bus: The Big Show

Many stories have been told about how one of wrestling’s largest giants, Andre The Giant (7ft 4in), struggled to live a normal life compared to the rest of WWE’s performers.

Standing at 7ft tall, The Big Show also had problems with travel in the early days of his career, which is why he decided to purchase his own bus.

Speaking to AZCentral.com in 2012, “The World’s Largest Athlete” mentioned that hotel rooms do not have beds his size and said it is difficult for him to fit into a regular car.

"I'm fortunate enough to have my own tour bus. I don't have to rent cars and stay in hotels. I travel on a bus that has a shower that fits and a bed that fits. It's a home away from home and gives me a little bit of privacy and a place to mellow out before the show. It's not like I can go in a Prius."
