4 Predictions for WWE in September 2019

The Deadman is scheduled to feature on September 10th edition of SmackDown
The Deadman is scheduled to feature on September 10th edition of SmackDown

Even though the month of August had its highs and lows, it was not a bad month for WWE. It saw the company taking some major steps- Seth Rollins defeating Brock Lesnar to become the Universal Champion at SummerSlam, The Fiend's blockbuster and breathtaking debut to the ring, WWE announcing the return of King of the Ring tournament and so much more.

On the other hand, it was a very good month for WWE from the viewership point of view, given the huge success of SummerSlam 2019. Furthermore, the weekly viewership of both RAW and SmackDown has also been satisfying. Thus, WWE seems to be back on track ever since Paul Heyman and Eric Bishoff have taken over the Red and Blue Brands respectively.

However, all this is in the rearview mirror now, as we march into the month of September. Given SmackDown will be moving to Fox in October, this month is of utter importance for WWE. Thus, a few major changes look totally on the cards, especially on the Blue brand.

On top of that, expect WWE to lay down the breadcrumbs for a few huge feuds in this month, given some are expected to end at Clash of Champions. All in all, September looks to have all the ingredients to become another enthralling month for WWE.

So, without further ado, in this article, we take a look at my four huge predictions for WWE in September 2019.

#4 WWE continues to rack up satisfying viewership

The Undertaker's return on September 10th edition of SmackDown will certainly boost the ratings.
The Undertaker's return on September 10th edition of SmackDown will certainly boost the ratings.

August was a good month for WWE from viewership point of view. While SummerSlam, as expected, proved to be a huge success commercially, the weekly shows of RAW and SmackDown were also able to rack up satisfying numbers.

Expect this trend to continue throughout this month, given a few major changes look to be on the cards.

Well, rumor has it that WWE will be pushing The Fiend in the main event scene after Clash of Champions, thus, it will surely help WWE to boost their ratings. On top of that, The Deadman's arrival on September 10th episode of SmackDown will also help rack up those huge viewership numbers.

Thus, the month of September looks promising for WWE from the viewership point of view.

#3 Randy Orton becomes the new WWE Champion

The Viper could dethrone Kofi Kingston to become the new champion.
The Viper could dethrone Kofi Kingston to become the new champion.

Randy Orton is all set to clash with Kofi Kingston at Clash of Champions for the WWE Championship. And the chances of The Viper walking out as the new champ are higher than ever. While it was speculated to happen at SummerSlam itself, it was not meant to be as the match came to an abrupt ending. Nonetheless, the time might finally have come for KofiMania to end.

Kofi's recent stint as the WWE Champion is getting stale. Furthermore, with the Blue Brand moving to Fox next month Vince McMahon would like to take any chances and would resort to one of his trusted employees, Randy Orton.

Thus, expect creative to crown The Viper as the new WWE Champion on September 15 at Clash of Champions.

On another note, this could also lay down the breadcrumbs for an epic Randy Orton vs Brock Lesnar feud for the near future. Something WWE would like to give shape to once SmackDown moves to Fox.

#2 Sasha Banks becomes the new Raw's Women Champion

It looks totally on the cards.
It looks totally on the cards.

Sasha Banks made a shocking return on RAW following SummerSlam to beat the living daylights out of Natalya and Becky Lynch. This resulted in WWE laying down the breadcrumbs for an epic feud for the Raw's Women Championship between The Boss and The Man.

While WWE has not announced a match between the duo for the Clash of Champions till now, expect creative to do the honours on the upcoming episode of RAW.

However, it will interesting to see whether WWE chooses to include Natalya into this match to make it a triple threat bout. Given how things have been unfolding, creative could even announce her as the special guest referee for the match. She could then turn on Lynch to cost her the title, acting as an apt explanation for her loss.

Well, come what may, Banks walking out as the new Raw's Women Champion looks highly likely for September 15. As I have said it before, a title run could certainly be one of the perks Vince McMahon might have promised after her meltdown at WrestleMania 35.

#1 WWE pushes The Fiend in the Universal Title picture

It would certainly spice up things.
It would certainly spice up things.

The Fiend, Bray Wyatt is currently one of the hot properties of WWE. Fans have been left craving for more, ever his awe-inspiring and enthralling in-ring return at SummerSlam 2019.

Well, it seems we might get our wish fulfilled as WWE could be pushing The Fiend in the Universal Title picture very soon. Yes, rumor has it that Wyatt could be facing the Universal Champion (Seth Rollins or Braun Strowman, whoever it is) at Hell in a Cell. Thus, expect creative to award The Fiend with a main event push after Clash of Champions.

While this would result in Wyatt featuring on WWE TV frequently, it would certainly spice up things in the main event.

We would love to see Wyatt going against his former Wyatt Family member, Braun Strowman for the Universal Title. And, WWE might have teased the same when the duo took shots on each other on Twitter recently.
