The Undertaker revealed a tombstone for AJ Styles before WrestleMania 36!
The Undertaker revealed a tombstone for AJ Styles before WrestleMania 36!

From The Undertaker addressing AJ Styles to Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman closing out the go-home segment of the last Monday Night RAW before WrestleMania 36, this week's edition of Monday Night RAW featured several contrasting moments.

The RAW before WrestleMania 36 will always be remembered as a night filled with intriguing promos. WWE has managed to re-focus their programming towards promos after downscaling RAW and SmackDown to an empty Performance Centre amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

There was a lack of excitement throughout the entire episode since the novelty of an empty arena WWE show has worn off at this point.

WWE has to find a unique way to hold the viewer's interest after WrestleMania concludes this year.

Here are the 5 biggest news stories from this week's episode of WWE RAW (March 30, 2020).

#5: Edge cut his final promo before facing Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match at WrestleMania 36

At WrestleMania, Edge and Randy Orton will settle their personal rivalry against each other in a battle of grit.

For the most part, their feud has been centered around promos and segments instead of an all-out brawl. The case would have been slightly different if RAW was still airing with a live audience present.

However, both Randy and Edge have proved just how essential promos can be towards building a highly-personal feud on a grand stage like WrestleMania.

Last night, Edge talked about how both of them bring out the best in each other, but The Viper's relevancy hit the ceiling right when Edge came back during the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View.

It is true that Orton goes through phases where his character becomes static for a certain period of time. Edge brought The Viper back to his evil roots and it will be interesting to see who prevails in a Last Man Standing Match out of these two legends.

#4: Kevin Owens talked about Seth Rollins' delusion ahead of their WrestleMania encounter

Kevin Owens and The Street Profits teamed up against Seth Rollins, Angel Garza and NXT's Austin Theory in a Six-Man Tag Team Match this week.

Andrade hasn't been the same since his recent suspension. Just when the United States Champion returned back to action, an injury has forced Andrade out of action this time around.

Owens secured a victory for his team, but Rollins gained a physical advantage by stomping his WrestleMania opponent seconds after the bout. However, Owens responded to Seth Rollins' comments from last week's episode soon after.

He admitted that Rollins has been a part of more WrestleMania moments, however, the past won't matter when both men will face in a singles match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Owens also poked at The Monday Night Messiah's delusion of the past. Last week, Rollins twisted some facts by taking sole credit for paving the way for the future generation of WWE Superstars.

Seth Rollins wasn't well-liked in NXT, according to Kevin Owens, and The Prizefighter aims to shatter Rollins' exaggerated image of himself at WrestleMania 36.

#3: Shayna Baszler and Charlotte Flair attacked their respective WrestleMania opponents this week

Becky Lynch has been untouchable throughout most of her reign as the RAW Women's Champion, until now.

Shayna Baszler could legitimately take the title away from Lynch this time around. The Queen of Spades has been booked as a dominant force since her arrival on RAW. Even last week, Lynch had to attack Baszler from behind to gain an advantage over her WrestleMania opponent.

This week, it was Shayna who choked The Man from behind. The Queen of Spades made the last statement before both women will eventually collide against each other over the course of this weekend.

On the other hand, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley's feud didn't include a lot of buildup on the Road to WrestleMania 36. Their last segment involved The Queen attacking the NXT Women's Champion outside the Performance Centre.

Under normal circumstances, this feud would have been allotted more TV Time. Hopefully, the quality of their match will be enough to redeem this program at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

#2: Paul Heyman talked about Brock Lesnar's dominance over "special" challengers throughout his career

Time is a circle.

Brock Lesnar is always the guy to beat. It doesn't matter if Seth Rollins overcame the threat of The Beast Incarnate last year. Because at the end of the day, Lesnar is still the current WWE Champion.

Paul Heyman pointed out that Lesnar has faced a lot of "special" opponents throughout his career. The Rock, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and John Cena are some of the many names that couldn't match up to Lesnar's dominance in the ring.

All of those opponents are regarded as some of the biggest names in the Pro-Wrestling industry, yet, Lesnar remains that one constant who dominated them all.

According to Heyman, Drew McIntyre may be regarded as a "special" opponent before he steps into the ring against Lesnar at WrestleMania. However, after the match is over, McIntyre's fate will be similar to those who thought they were special before they faced the wrath of The Beast Incarnate.

Even if Drew McIntyre pulls off a victory against Brock Lesnar at the Grandest Stage of Them All, Lesnar could very well be the WWE Champion heading into next year's WrestleMania event.

#1: The Undertaker stepped out of his mystical persona and revealed a tombstone for AJ Styles

At this point, it is evident that The Undertaker has to maintain this change in character even after his feud with AJ Styles concludes.

AJ Styles has lifted the veil over The Deadman's persona like no other Superstar in WWE history. Furthermore, The Undertaker stepped out of his mystical presence and took a grounded approach to his character this week.

The Undertaker referred to his WrestleMania opponent as Allen Jones, since we're being "real" now. Apparently, things escalated to a whole new level when Styles dragged Michelle McCool (Undertaker's wife) into this feud.

The Undertaker made comparisons to The Phenomenal One's Styles Clash and Michelle's Faith Breaker maneuver, and perhaps that is the real reason why 'Taker's wife was mentioned by Styles in the first place.

Additionally, The Undertaker also invited Styles to bring along Gallows & Anderson to their Boneyard Battle, where they would feel the wrath of the "Unholy Trinity".

After revealing a tombstone with The Phenomenal One's name on it, The Undertaker's go-home promo was exactly what this feud needed a few days before WrestleMania weekend gets underway.
