4 Bold Predictions for Summerslam 2019: Lesnar gets attacked after his match, a top superstar returns

Next Universal Champion?
Next Universal Champion?

The thirty-second edition of WWE SummerSlam is just a few days away from us as the show will air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on August 11. Unlike most of the major shows of the company, the card for the event does not look too long, as only ten matches are confirmed so far.

The most surprising part is how no tag team match is booked so far for the biggest party of the summer. With as many as three Tag Titles on the main roster, it would be a very unpopular decision from the company to not have any of those defended on the second biggest PPV of the year. One can expect WWE to book at least a couple more matches for the show.

So let's dive straight to the point of discussion of this article - the four bold predictions for SummerSlam 2019. Feel free to share your thoughts and views in the comments section below.

#4 Bray Wyatt attacks Goldberg after his match

No one is safe!
No one is safe!

Summerslam 2019 will finally see the sadistic creature we all know by the name of "The Fiend" make his official in-ring debut in a match against Finn Balor.

After months and months of building up the entire theme of Firefly Fun House, revealing numerous hidden secrets about himself and his inner monster, Bray Wyatt appeared on RAW a few weeks ago to take out Balor.

Even though the first-ever Universal Champion is undefeated at Summerslam so far, it is safe to assume that he has no chance of getting a win against the Fiend. I'll even go to the extent of predicting that Balor would hardly get any offense throughout the match.

Other than Balor, The Fiend has been on a roll on RAW, attacking a couple of legends and Hall of Famers. First, it was Mick Foley who fell victim to the Mandible Claw of Wyatt during RAW Reunion. And this past week, it was the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle who faced the same fate.

Attacking these legends is a great way to build Wyatt's character, and I believe WWE might continue the trend at SummerSlam with The Fiend attacking Goldberg after his match against Dolph Ziggler. How awesome would it be to see the fear in the eyes of Goldberg when he comes face-to-face with this new Bray Wyatt!

#3 Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe team-up together

The Samoan Big Dogs?
The Samoan Big Dogs?

One of the most interesting storylines heading into SummerSlam is that of Roman Reigns and his mystery attacker. As of the last SmackDown show, Buddy Murphy revealed that Rowan was behind the attack on the Big Dog on SmackDown the week before.

The way the show ended left us with many questions, the biggest of them being - did Rowan do this on orders of Daniel Bryan? If yes, why?

The sheer amount of superstars involved in this storyline is amazing. On RAW, we saw how Samoa Joe was upset with being wrongly accused of attacking Reigns. Joe also showed signs of turning face during the parking area segment with Reigns.

With Rowan and Bryan supposedly behind the attack, Reigns would surely need some backup, and who better than a fellow Samoan? Joe and Reigns would make for a deadly tag-team and would help both the superstars involved in many ways.

#2 Sasha Banks returns to attack Becky Lynch

The Man vs The Boss!
The Man vs The Boss!

No matter how tough WWE might try to portray Natalya, there's no way she is defeating Becky Lynch this Sunday to win the RAW Women's Championship. With the likes of Bayley and Ember Moon moving to SmackDown, the women's division of the red brand is indeed missing a major star other than The Man.

The big question is - who next after Becky defeats Natalya at SummerSlam? Well, the answer might excite many of you reading this.

According to a tweet by Brad Shepard of Pro Sports Extra, the Sasha Banks is currently scheduled to make her return this Sunday at SummerSlam. After the long break since WrestleMania, what if she finally steps back inside the squared ring after the RAW Women's Title match to take out Lynch and let the world know her target?

The Man vs The Boss will be a huge feud, especially after all the hype and buzz Sasha would return with. Could she finally be the one to dethrone Becky Lynch?

#1 Drew McIntyre attacks Brock Lesnar after the main event

The Beast vs The Scottish Psychopath!
The Beast vs The Scottish Psychopath!

One of the biggest names missing from the SummerSlam match card is that of the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre. With his alliance with Shane McMahon seemingly finished, fans are wondering what does the creative have in store for him.

It was not long ago when he was one of the most dominant performers and looked upon as the future of the company, but his booking ever since WrestleMania has been disappointing. But Vince has a chance to undo all these mistakes at SummerSlam with potentially what would be the biggest segment in McIntyre's career.

The Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is scheduled to defend his title against Seth Rollins. While WWE has the option to let Rollins conquer the Beast once more, I believe it is time to give that honor to someone else who needs it more.

Lesnar retaining the title, only for McIntyre to show up and beat him up to end the show holding the title high would be one of the best possible endings for SummerSlam. In all honesty, this is not too far-fetched and might happen.
