5 bold predictions for WrestleMania 35

There are loads of possibilities for this coming WrestleMania.
There are loads of possibilities for this coming WrestleMania.

We are four months away from the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. No matter how boring and uninspiring the product is currently, WWE will certainly pick it up in the coming months as we approach the grand spectacle. Every year, WWE puts great effort to create an unmissable card worthy of the WrestleMania tagline. The coming year's Supercard will be no different, especially with a roster as stacked as how it is now. WWE really should knock it out of the park in New Jersey, this coming April.

However, we look back at this year's WrestleMania. The show was packed with exciting matches left, right and centre. On paper, it seemed like this year's edition would be one of the greatest of all time. While it did deliver to some degree, nobody will remember WrestleMania 34 as one of the greatest 'Manias ever.

WWE must be wary of the issues saddled with these huge cards and combat them to provide fans with the best show they could possibly book. They will have some special moments planned for the card in 2019, with almost a full roster of healthy talent, aside from a couple of glaring exceptions.

WrestleMania 35 has the opportunity to prove to everyone that a show of such size and grandeur can still remain a great wrestling show. They have the talent to do just that. All WWE needs to do is find the right spot for everyone, to ensure a successful extravaganza.

Here are five bold predictions on possible big moments or matches that are likely to occur at MetLife Stadium on April 7th, 2019.

#5 Multi-man ladder match for a mid-card championship

The roster on both sides is extremely stacked.
The roster on both sides is extremely stacked.

WWE has been known to book a multi-man ladder match at almost every WrestleMania since the introduction of Money in the Bank. Aside from a few years, including this, we have been treated to a grand spot-fest at the Showcase of the Immortals. Most recently, the Raw Tag Team Championships were on the line in a multi-team ladder match, won by the returning Hardy Boyz.

Before that, the Intercontinental title was up for grabs in this match. At both 'Manias 31 and 32, even men opened the main card in dramatic fashion. Something similar could happen this year.

The mid-card on both Raw and Smackdown is filled with great talent and possible future stars. It will be difficult to leave out a bunch of them from the WrestleMania card, making a seven-man ladder match the perfect solution.

This is a perfect way to get guys like Finn Balor, Elias, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jeff Hardy or Andrade 'Cien' Almas on the main show. There is too much talent to dump them all in the pre-show Battle Royal. WWE could book the IC title or the United States Championship in this way. It will put a huge spotlight on the more talented wrestlers as they soar through the sky at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

#4 Heel Daniel Bryan vs Face Miz for the WWE Championship

The tables are turning.
The tables are turning.

When Daniel Bryan beat AJ Styles for the WWE Championship and turned heel, it looked like a baffling decision. However, it has turned out to be quite the revelation. Bryan is a fantastic heel and did what he had to do to bring his character back to life.

The new Daniel Bryan is fantastic and this move could turn out to be one of the greatest heel turns in recent WWE history if he continues to do stellar work on the microphone. This past Smackdown, he even got into somewhat of an agreement with The Miz, his longtime rival. It is surreal to see the pair of them agreeing with each other, but not as surreal as another option.

With the 'Best in the World' storyline alongside Shane McMahon, it seems like WWE is readying The Miz for a face turn. Smackdown desperately needs babyfaces in their ranks and the Awesome One could be the guy to turn. Call it crazy, but heel Bryan vs face Miz is an exceptionally intriguing scenario and one that would be fitting for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

Maybe, this modification could provide this eternal rivalry with the perfect and fiery conclusion it deserves, after a disappointing summer and early autumn. Do not rule it out.

#3 Ronda Rousey will lose the Raw Women's Championship

An Irish storm is looming over Ronda.
An Irish storm is looming over Ronda.

Ronda Rousey is currently on top of the Raw women's division and does not look like dropping it to anyone on the roster. It is becoming increasingly likely that a Smackdown superstar will transfer over to topple the ex-UFC fighter. Becky Lynch is set to defend her Smackdown Women's Championship in a triple threat TLC Match against Charlotte Flair and Asuka.

This opens the door for Becky to lose the title without getting pinned or submitted in the process. This also frees her up for a spot in the second-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match.

Another option is Charlotte Flair, who has unfinished business with Rousey. Their match at Survivor Series was excellent and proved just how good a wrestler the Rowdy One really can be. The Rumble match could possibly come down to the former best friends, Becky Lynch and Charlotte, with The Man going over.

She is doing the best work of her career right now and has earned the right to face Ronda Rousey in a high-profile match at WrestleMania, especially after her match at Survivor Series ripped away from her by a sloppy punch from Nia Jax. Whether it is her, or Charlotte, Rousey's reign as the champ seems to be coming to a screeching halt in New Jersey.

#2 Seth Rollins will win the Universal Championship

Could Rollins overcome the Beast at 'Mania yet again?
Could Rollins overcome the Beast at 'Mania yet again?

Brock Lesnar is once again the Universal Champion, meaning that Raw's main title os once again absent from regular TV. While there are certain short-term fixes, the Red brand needs to improve in the long run. It seems like The Beast will hold the Universal title until WrestleMania. There are few candidates who can eventually topple him, but only one fits perfectly.

Braun Strowman has gotten stale and will face Lesnar again at Royal Rumble and Drew McIntyre is currently on super heel mode, meaning he might not be the guy to take the title from the part-timer. This leaves us with Seth Rollins.

He is currently the Intercontinental Champion, but can very easily lose it to Dean Ambrose or in any one of his open challenges. He has been ready for the big time for almost a year now, finally becoming the most over person on Raw during that Gauntlet Match in February. After the unfortunate situation with Roman Reigns, WWE must make this coronation count.

Rollins would be a perfect choice, especially after the continuous digs he has aimed at the Universal champion himself. He did win the WWE title from the Beast at WrestleMania 31. Also, it would be an added bonus if Lesnar decides to go to work and have a good wrestling match with the Kingslayer, as he did with AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan.

#1 The Undertaker will finally retire

Could this finally be the end?
Could this finally be the end?

The Undertaker is a legend, the greatest WWE superstar of all time. His longevity and commitment have turned him into a household name even beyond the world of professional wrestling. However, the last few years have not been kind to the Deadman.

The respected veteran seemed to put a full stop to his legendary career after his main event match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, with what looked to be a symbolic and emotional goodbye. It was perfect. But he did return, squashing John Cena at this year's WrestleMania. Since then, 'Taker wrestled at WWE's three international stadium shows.

His casket match with Rusev at Greatest Royal Rumble was an average outing while the "Last Time Ever" match against Triple H was an overbooked mess. That match signified just how much is left in the Deadman's tank. It isn't much. The following tag team match alongside Kane against DX at Crown Jewel was even uglier. Hopefully The Undertaker realises that he cannot keep on doing this he should ideally wrestle his final match at the same place he wrestled his last good WrestleMania match.

The variety of choices to retire the Deadman include Cena, Shawn Michaels or maybe Kane, in a Double Retirement Match. Whatever happens, WrestleMania 35 would be the perfect time to end The Undertaker's immortal career.
