5 Dream opponents for Brock Lesnar if he moves to SmackDown Live

In a recent report, we noted that WWE has seemingly been advertising current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, as part of SmackDown Live in order to promote the blue brand prior to its upcoming deal with Fox Sports.

With SmackDown set to make its debut under Fox on the 4th of October, 2019, Lesnar's name has been used to promote the show during this weekend's Nascar race. Lesnar being the current Universal Champion is on a much lighter schedule with WWE and usually competes in the big pay-per-views. However, during the peak of the Ruthless Aggression Era, 'The Beast Incarnate' was one of the primary mainstays of SmackDown, having established his popularity on the blue brand.

Lesnar's last match on SmackDown took place way back in March of 2004 and during his time with the brand, the former WWE Champion competed against the likes of Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, The Hardy Boyz, and several other notable names as well.

The current SmackDown Live roster also possesses a heap of talent and the roster over on the blue brand is equally stacked as Monday Night Raw. With Lesnar reportedly on his way to SD Live, there are several dream matches 'The Beast' could potentially compete and therefore, here are 5 superstars Brock Lesnar needs to share the ring if he moves to SmackDown Live.

#5. Mustafa Ali

The WWE Universe shouldn't sleep on Mustafa Ali

While being in possession of the Universal Championship, Brock Lesnar has provided the WWE Universe with several 'David vs Goliath' dream matches, so to speak. At the 2017 Survivor Series pay-per-view, Lesnar shared the ring with then-WWE Champion, AJ Styles in what fans initially thought was a very odd, unstylish match-up for both parties.

However, that wasn't the case to be, as both Lesnar and Styles put together an instant classic much like the bout between 'The Beast' and 'The New' Daniel Bryan at last year's Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Similarly, Mustafa Ali is someone who is fast and knows all the high-flying skills inside the ring, therefore, a match against Brock Lesnar is bound to be another interesting affair as well.

#4. Andrade

Much like Mustafa Ali, former NXT Champion, Andrade is also all about the pace when it comes to in-ring action. Within the past few months or so, the former NXT Champion has been on a rapid rise on SmackDown Live where he has shared the ring with the likes of AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, and Rey Mysterio, and every time Andrade has stepped into the ring he has managed to put up an excellent match, regardless of who is opponent is.

Sharing the ring with someone like Brock Lesnar will be the opportunity of a lifetime for Andrade. The former NXT Champion is yet to disappoint the WWE Universe with his in-ring skills and chances are he will put together another outstanding match if he gets into the ring with someone like Lesnar.

The two men could come up with amazing in-ring chemistry given the major size difference in them and the bout itself could be another instant classic which goes straight into the book of SmackDown Live classics.

#3. Shinsuke Nakamura

Now, this is the one match the WWE Universe has been patiently waiting to see ever since Shinsuke Nakamura signed with the company back in 2016. Having established himself as 'The King of Strong Style', Nakamura is certainly more than familiar with the hard-hitting style of Professional Wrestling, something which Brock Lesnar himself knows a thing or two about.

Another major reason why fans are so keen on witnessing a match between Lesnar and Nakamura is due to their first encounter in New Japan Pro Wrestling. A match which straight up felt like shoot fight between the two, given how hard hitting of a battle it was.

Fans definitely wouldn't mind seeing Nakamura share the ring with Lesnar once again, despite how poorly WWE has booked 'The Rockstar' in recent months. There is still a long way to go till WWE makes its debut on Fox and by that point, maybe, just maybe, WWE reconsiders pushing Nakamura as a top player on the blue brand once again.

#2. Kofi Kingston

Kingston could very well defy the odds on this occasion

Four years ago, Brock Lesnar and Kofi Kingston faced-off in a singles match in Japan. A match which more or less was a one-sided affair, given the brutality shown by 'The Beast Incarnate' who destroyed Kofi within minutes and then went on to toss around the rest of the New Day like ragdolls all across the ring in Japan.

However, with the recent resurgence of Kofi Kingston on SmackDown Live, one thing is now safe to say that WWE is finally starting to show their faith on Kingston once again and are all set to put a rocket behind his back and push him to the moon. So much so, that Kofi is now in a position to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 as well.

With Kingston being recognized as a main event star once again, a match against Brock Lesnar later in the year will be everything the former Tag Team Champion needs. Given the heart and the passion that has been shown by Kingston so far in his journey back to the top, another instant classic featuring him and Lesnar could be almost guaranteed by this point.

#1. Cesaro

How long till Cesaro showcases his skills against Brock Lesnar?
How long till Cesaro showcases his skills against Brock Lesnar?

When Cesaro first broke into the WWE's main roster scene around 2012, he was certainly considered as a hot prospect, given how amazing he was (well, still is) inside the ring. Stylistically, Cesaro can pretty much adapt to every single style against every single opponent he steps into the ring with. Be it technical, high-flying, or display of sheer strength and power, Cesaro can pretty much do it all when he steps into the Pro Wrestling ring.

A few years ago, during his rise to the top as a singles star, Cesaro shared the ring with the very best WWE had to offer, such as John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and several other big names. While making his way to the top of the mountain, Cesaro was praised by many living legends of the business, such as the likes of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and Ric Flair, who for one thought Cesaro was WWE World Champion material and billed him as a "phenomenal" performer.

Flair even insisted to provide the managerial role for Cesaro, in order to build him up for a major storyline against Brock Lesnar. However, none of that ever happened and instead, we got to see Cesaro and Sheamus form a tag team known as The Bar.

But, with Brock Lesnar reportedly on his way over to SmackDown Live, maybe it is finally time for WWE to pull the switch on Cesaro and push him as a singles star. Sure, there is absolutely no reason for them to break up The Bar but pushing 'The Swiss Superman' and vouching for a match against 'The Beast Incarnate' sounds pretty good to me.

The WWE Universe themselves would love to see Cesaro's immense display of power against someone like Lesnar, so why not make it happen later this year itself?
