WWE is going to make history this coming Tuesday when they celebrate the 1000th episode of their blue brand SmackDown Live. Some might call it the B show, but it has an amazing history of itself and has given WWE fans some unforgettable moments. SmackDown will take place from the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. WWE has announced many big names who will be appearing on the show. The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio & Evolution are the top ones.
One would imagine that WWE is going to put a lot of effort to book this show just like they did with Raw 1000. It'll be a challenge for WWE to fit everything inside two hours but we hope they do it in the best possible way. In this article, we take a look at five epic ways in which WWE can make SmackDown 1000 memorable-
#5 Rey Mysterio wins the US Title if Crown Jewel gets canceled

Rey Mysterio vs Shinsuke Nakamura has been announced for the 1000th episode of SmackDown Live. This will mark the return of Mysterio for the first time since appearing in the Royal Rumble. This match has been booked as a qualifying match for the WWE World Cup at Crown Jewel. But after the news that broke out this week, WWE might end up cancelling the event. Therefore, the World Cup will either be moved to some other show or it will be cancelled as well.
A solid backup for them is to change this match to a United States Championship match. Nakamura hasn't defended the title in a while and it will a good reason for him to feud with Rey. If Rey Mysterio can capture the US Title at SmackDown 1000, it will certainly be a memorable moment for everyone.
#4 The Rock makes a surprise return
Many legends have been announced for this show. Undertaker, Batista, Edge are few of the big ones. But one name that hasn't been announced is The Rock. It was rumored that WWE contacted The Rock for an appearance. But, they didn't make anything official.
We know that The Rock was a crucial part of RAW 1000. WWE really wants him to be a part of SmackDown 1000 as well. So, it could be that they are planning a surprise return for him.
The Peoples Champ might shock the WWE Universe and he could be planning something special for his return. We all know that it's always an entertaining segment from The Rock and he takes it to another level on these special occasions.
Even if he doesn't attack anybody or challenge someone to a match, The Rock appearing will be amazing to watch anyways.
#3 Edge reveals all about "One Night in Milwaukee" on Cutting Edge
Edge is also scheduled to appear on SmackDown 1000. He will host another episode of his historic "Cutting Edge" show. But as of now, The Rated-R Superstar hasn't revealed who his guests will be.
I think this is a perfect opportunity for WWE to advance in the Rusev-Aiden storyline. Aiden English has somewhat succeeded in making Rusev believe that Lana did something wrong behind his back. I think the "One Night in Milwaukee" issue is a great topic for the Cutting Edge show. As Edge himself has been part of such things when he was on SmackDown Live.
So Rusev, Lana, English, and Edge could produce a fantastic segment and we will finally know what is happened in Milwaukee. There has been no word of if Christian will accompany Edge or not, but if he also makes a return, it'll become an even better segment.
#2 Evolution gets interrupted by Brothers of Destruction
One of the big announcements WWE made for this episode of SmackDown is the reunion of Evolution. Batista will be making his return to the WWE after a horrible run last time. But, the exciting thing about this is that Undertaker & Kane are also scheduled to appear on the show.
We know that WWE has already made Brothers of Destruction vs D-Generation X official for Crown Jewel. Even if that show gets cancelled, I believe that WWE will push this match to Survivor Series.
So, we could see Kane & Undertaker interrupt or even spoil the reunion of Evolution. It will also be interesting to see if Batista's return is for one-night-only.
So, this tag team match is definitely going to take place. And if Taker & Kane interrupt this reunion, it's gonna make up for an amazing & memorable segment.
#1 Shane McMahon returns and gets destroyed by Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe lost to Jeff Hardy last week and failed to qualify for the WWE World Cup. No one knows what WWE has planned for him next. Another important thing to note is that we haven't seen Shane McMahon on SmackDown Live for a very long time now. I assume that he is still the commissioner of the brand and would like to attend this historic event.
So, if Shane McMahon makes an appearance on this show, Samoa Joe could be the perfect man who could possibly attack him. We know that WWE isn't giving Joe another championship opportunity. So his next feud could be against Shane McMahon. Because well we know Joe is pissed and he needs to take his anger out on someone.
If WWE actually does this, it'll be kinda similar to what Kevin Owens did to Vince McMahon. So, let's hope WWE doesn't waste Joe anymore and put him in something exciting.
