5 female WWE factions you forgot existed

A number of women's stables have been forgettable throughout history
A number of women's stables have been forgettable throughout history

WWE factions can define an era if done correctly. The Shield, Evolution, The NWO, D-Generation X, and several other stables are proof of that as they've become household names over the years.

Whilst some stables roll off the tongue, there are others who were not given the time to gel together and have instead become another forgotten part of history.

The League of Nations, 3MB, The Corre, and even The Hurt Business have become fleeting teams over the past few years. Even the women have had a number of forgettable stables, and here are just five that you may not remember.

#5. Extreme Expose was a forgettable trio that consisted of WWE stars Layla, Kelly Kelly, and Brooke Adams

Kelly Kelly retired from WWE in her 30s after making her debut for the company as a teenager on their rebranded version of ECW.

The company aligned Kelly with 2006 Diva Search winner Layla and newcomer Brooke Adams, and together the three women became Extreme Expose. It's a stretch to call them a stable since the three women didn't actually wrestle together; instead, they would perform a dance on each episode of ECW to keep the crowd entertained.

This was a time before the Women's Revolution and was a step up from Kelly Kelly's Expose where she would do a striptease until her boyfriend Mike Knox came out and forced her to stop.

The three women went their separate ways before ECW was canceled and Kelly and Layla went on to become Divas Champions. Brooke, on the other hand, was released from WWE in 2007 and went on to become Brooke Tessmacher in IMPACT where she is a former three-time Knockout's Champion.

Kelly Kelly recently returned to WWE as part of the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match and continues to be a regular returnee for the company. Layla retired from the company in July 2015 after nine years and has made it clear that she doesn't want to return.

Since she retired from the business, Layla has transitioned into a career as a real estate agent.

#4. The Kabuki Warriors were successful in their short time in WWE

The Kabuki Warriors consisted of Asuka and Kairi Sane alongside their manager Paige during their time on WWE TV. As former Women's Tag Team Champions, the trio became more successful than many of the teams on this list, but given their short time together, they have become just as forgettable.

Asuka was a successful star as a solo wrestler before she joined forces with former NXT Women's Champion Kairi Sane in 2019 in order to go up against The IIconics. After winning the Women's Tag Team Championships, the duo turned on Paige when Asuka spat green mist in her face and the two women then pushed forward alone.

A few weeks later, The Kabuki Warriors dropped the Women's Tag Team Championships to Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss before going their separate ways.

Kairi Sane has since left WWE, whilst Asuka has returned to singles competition, even though The Empress of Tomorrow has been sidelined for the best part of a year after suffering an arm injury back in 2021.

#3. Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Paige were once known as Absolution in WWE

Mandy Rose is the current NXT Women's Champion whilst Sonya Deville is a WWE Official and Paige hasn't appeared on TV for almost two years.

Rose and Deville made names for themselves on Tough Enough before debuting in the NXT and were then aligned with Paige in 2017. The trio became known as Absolution but their time together was cut short when Paige suffered a neck injury a few months after their debut.

This led to Paige's in-ring retirement before she was then made General Manager of SmackDown and made it clear to Deville and Rose that their time together had come to an end.

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose have since had quite a personal feud that ended at SummerSlam in 2020 when the two women collided in a "Loser Leaves WWE" match.

Deville took some time away from the company before making her return as an official whilst Mandy Rose has become the leader of Toxic Attraction on NXT.

#2. Candice Michelle, Victoria, and Torrie Wilson were once known as Vince's Devils on WWE RAW

Torrie Wilson is now a WWE Hall of Famer and was recently part of the Women's Royal Rumble match. Victoria made her return to the company as part of last year's Royal Rumble, whilst Candice Michelle is a former 24/7 Champion after returning to WWE as part of Legend's Night.

The three women were part of WWE at a time before the Women's Revolution and were aligned together as Vince's Devils since they would often be seen backstage with the Chairman.

The three women were also seen as jobbers in the Women's Division since the likes of Lita and Trish Stratus were dominating the company throughout their time together.

Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle turned on each other after a few years of being friends and faced off at WrestleMania 22 in a Playboy Pillow Fight. Both women are former Playboy cover girls and made their appearances on the cover of the famous magazine a huge part of their feud.

#1. Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Summer Rae were once known as The Bff's on WWE's NXT brand

Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks are currently dominating the Women's Division. Whilst the company has referenced The Four Horsewomen of NXT several times, it appears that BFF's have been forgotten.

Whilst Sasha and Charlotte were part of the black and gold brand, the two women aligned themselves with Summer Rae and called themselves BFF, which stood for Beautiful Fierce Females.

The trio came together in order to make a statement on the brand, with Sasha and Summer first coming together before Charlotte later turned heel and joined the duo. Their time together was short since the NXT Women's Championship later became a focus for all three women and Banks decided to dissolve her partnership with Summer in order to focus on the title.

Banks and Flair went on to win the title before being promoted to the main roster, Summer Rae was later promoted to the main roster as well, but was released without winning a Championship in 2017.
