5 Major Things We Learned From Elimination Chamber 2018

A wild night

Elimination Chamber ends the bumpy road to WrestleMania and now, we have a clear sight of what awaits us in New Orleans. The show delivered to some extent with both Chamber matches delivering a fine blend of wrestling and entertainment.

A lot of feuds got kick-started at the event and it seems clear now what direction WWE is heading towards. So, without any further ado, let's dive deep into the 5 major things we learned from WWE Elimination Chamber 2018.

#1 Roman Reigns Vs Brock Lesnar is official

Get ready for a boring sequel
Get ready for a boring sequel

Well, starting the list with an obvious disappointment that Roman Reigns has booked his ticket to Suplex City by overcoming all the odds again. The WWE is adamant on pushing him to the top and that was on full display during the brutal chamber match. Whether or not the fans appreciate it, we'll be getting Brock Lesnar Vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

The whole crowd was disappointed with the conclusion considering how tremendous Braun Strowman was in the match. The match became predictable after Seth got eliminated and now, we've to sit through and, try to enjoy this feud which is being promoted by the WWE as a match which has been in the making for 3 years. With WWE continuing to push Roman in dominant fashion, it won't be a surprise if he goes to New Orleans and tames down the Beast. Either way, it will be a disappointing affair.

#2 The Women's Historical Chamber Match Delivered

The Women's division delivered a classic

The Women's division continues to shine bright and it was on full display when 6 ladies entered the First-Ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match and, made a solid statement. The match exceeded expectations and definitely in my opinion, outperformed the Men's Elimination Chamber match. The crowd was electrified for the match which was being integrated by the tremendous performances by the female superstars.

Superstars like Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss and Bayley gave the performances of the night and were successful in their efforts of telling a beautiful story. Mandy Rose made history by becoming the first elimination in both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches respectively. Judging by the monumental collision between Sasha Banks and Bayley, it's safe to say that something impressive awaits us.

#3 Braun Strowman makes history at the Elimination Chamber

The Monster makes history

If there's a positive that comes out from the barbaric Elimination Chamber match, it's the strong booking of Braun Strowman. 'The Monster Among Men' is the hottest commodity on Raw and he backed that statement with an absolutely dominating performance in the main event. The Monster eliminated 5 superstars in the First-Ever 7 Men Elimination Chamber Match.

WWE must be applauded for the creative booking behind Strowman's rise to superstardom and it seems likely that he will continue to dominate monday night's. Braun was at the receiving end of 3 Spears, 1 Curbstomp, 2 Attitude Adjustment's and 1 Coup De Grace but that didn't stop the monster from delivering a herculean performance and, setting a blockbuster record. He might be rumoured to be involved in the Intercontinental Championship match against the Miz but tonight he stood tall and made a gargantuan statement.

#4 This feud must fade away and classify itself as 'Obsolete'

Save the Broken Gimmick
Save the Broken Gimmick

Broken Matt Hardy was the hottest thing going on in professional wrestling in 2016 and it's unfortunate that he's the most disappointing element on Raw along with the 'Eater of Worlds', Bray Wyatt. This was a dream match for all the wrestling fans around the world but judging by the creative booking of the feud, it has been reduced to nothing but a joke. Both the contestants faced each other in another boring match, only booked to fill time.

The match felt useless and got compounded over by the lack of interest of the crowd in the T-Mobile Arena. The audience just didn't care about the match and while the in-ring quality was average, it didn't do anything to elevate the feud. The whole WWE Universe was expecting a shocking appearance from Brother Nero but, all we got was possibly the worst match on the whole card. This feud is not working at all and, if there's a momentous time to save the Broken Gimmick, it is now.

#5 Ronda Rousey Vs Stephanie McMahon started with a bang

En
This will get the world talking

Well, there might be conflicting opinions regarding Ronda Rousey's career in the WWE but it's safe to say that her much-awaited contract signing delivered last night. The segment fell flat initially particularly due to the disappointing mic skills of Ronda Rousey but gained momentum later on after Angle's inclusion in the mix.

'The Rowdy One' was welcomed graciously by the Authority but everything went out of control when Kurt started to reveal Stephanie's true feelings about Ronda.

Well, the segment in its eventuality was fantastic and definitely planted the seeds for Ronda Vs Stephanie at WrestleMania 34. Judging by the segment, it seems likely that Kurt Angle could be teaming up with Ronda to take out Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Either way, the segment worked especially, Ronda putting Triple H through the table which definitely got the fans excited for what's next.
