5 Most Overrated WWE Superstars in 2018

These superstars have crossed the boundaries
These superstars have crossed the boundaries

There are WWE Superstars right now on both Smackdown and Raw that receive more and more praises, opportunities and a bigger push than those that actually deserve it. They may even be given title opportunities without actually deserving it. Some have the fans behind them and others don't get the reaction that they want. Most superstars that actually deserve the push are getting ruined or not being used properly.

Some superstars are getting shoved down our throats and we are forced to see them main event PPVs time after time and live crowd's volumes are being muted. These superstars are on the top of their brands and time and time again we see them getting more than they actually deserve. We saw multiple pushes this year that we never thought we would see, as several superstars rose to the top. Here are five most overrated WWE Superstars of 2018:

#5 Roman Reigns

Enough is enough
Enough is enough

Roman Reigns is rising to the top as the face of WWE after John Cena. He has main evented almost every PPV this year and headlined four WrestleManias in a row. He is Vince McMahon's golden boy and gets more opportunities than anyone else. Fans are not behind him as he gets booed heavily, with WWE even turning down crowd volumes. His feud with Brock Lesnar is getting pretty boring as we have already seen them face each other several times and every time they went on one-on-one Brock Lesnar always came up on top.

Their first match took place at WrestleMania 31, their second one in a triple threat match at Fastlane with Dean Ambrose, Fatal 4-Way match at SummerSlam, WrestleMania 34, steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble and they are currently scheduled to have another match for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam this Sunday. Reigns doesn't even need to be a champion to main event a PPV.

He is a three time WWE Champion and has accomplished a lot in his career. Despite not having good mic skills, he is still at the top and no matter what anyone's opinion of him is, he won't be slowing down anytime soon.

He has had a shot for the Universal championship four times this year but other superstars who deserve it more are not getting the push that they deserve. Roman Reigns has had too many opportunities this year and its time for someone else to step up.

#4 Brock Lesnar

The Beast is totally overrated
The Beast is totally overrated

Current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest stars in WWE right now and is a huge box office draw everywhere he goes. He has been champion for nearly 500 days but only defended the title three times this year, with SummerSlam being the fourth. He only shows up a few times and does what he pleases.

He has no mic skills, limited moves, the duration of his matches are very short and he's a part-timer. Yet he is currently the top superstar on the Raw brand and WWE as a whole. He is holding many superstars back and even though he brings a lot of money into the company, he was given a title that he never earned while other superstars such as Seth Rollins and Finn Balor show up every week and they deserve the title more.

Lesnar is currently scheduled to defend his title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam this Sunday, and we can only wait and see if he will walk out victorious. He is also scheduled to face Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Championship and could be leaving WWE soon. Having a champion that barely shows up is not a very good decision. Brock Lesnar is no doubt very overrated.

#3 Ronda Rousey

The Baddest Woman on the Planet has had than she could chew

she could chew

Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut this year at the Royal Rumble PPV after Asuka won the first ever Woman's Royal Rumble match. Rousey made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 where she teamed up with Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in a mixed tag team match. Ronda made Stephanie tap out to the armbar, winning her first match in WWE.

She then went on to get a shot for the Raw Woman's Championship against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank in her first televised singles match. She did not win the match or the title due to an interference by Alexa Bliss. Ronda got suspended the following night on Raw for attacking Raw GM Kurt Angle and got suspended for an additional week for attacking Alexa and Mickie James.

While she was still in suspension, it was announced that she would face Alexa Bliss for the Raw Woman's Championship at SummerSlam. Ronda is still learning how to wrestle but she gets handed a title opportunity while others who can actually can wrestle and deserve it more are not getting the opportunity they deserve. For a person who doesn't have a lot of experience as a professional wrestler to be handed that much makes her overrated.

#2 Carmella

Carmella proved that Mella is Money
Carmella proved that Mella is Money

Current Smackdown Woman's Champion Carmella has been rising to the top on Smackdown Live, where she defeated Charlotte to capture the Smackdown Woman's Championship and successfully defended it against Asuka. Carmella was the first superstar to win the Woman's Money in the Bank contract and she successfully cashed it in on Smackdown after WrestleMania 34.

She retained the title against Charlotte on Smackdown, where she won clean and against Asuka, with help from James Ellsworth. Her wins over Asuka have affected Asuka negatively. There are other superstars on Smackdown that deserve the title more, such as Becky Lynch and Asuka. Carmella is currently scheduled to defend her title in a triple threat match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte at SummerSlam.

#1 Alexa Bliss

Alexa is highley overrated
Alexa is highly overrated

Current Raw Woman's Champion Alexa Bliss is one of the most successful female superstars in WWE right now. She has won the Smackdown Woman's Championship twice and the Raw Woman's Championship three times making her a 5-time woman's champion. She won the woman's Money in the Bank briefcase and cashed it in on the same night to become champion.

Alexa has great mic skills, but she has already been champion several times and didn't need to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. Raw has so many other superstars that deserve the title more than Alexa does. She is, however, no doubt great at what she does. She is currently scheduled to defend her title against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam.
