5 Potential WWE feuds for The Hurt Business in the future

The Hurt Business has become an integral part of WWE RAW in recent months. While the show starts and ends with newsworthy segments featuring the prominent stars of the Red brand, the middle portions are often lacking in star power and feel like a slog to sit through. However, since the stable formed, they have provided the show with some much-needed energy.

U.S. Champion Bobby Lashley is the most strongly booked Superstar on RAW after WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Not only has he accumulated several wins since becoming the Champion, but he seemingly looks invincible now. On the other hand, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin have proven to be worthy RAW Tag Team Champions.

MVP has, well, proven to be the MVP of the group with his impeccable mic skills and his ability to sell every match to be just as prominent as the main event. However, the stable is showing some cracks, indicating a possible dissolution in recent weeks.

Now that the Road to WrestleMania 37 has officially begun, the time seems ripe to predict what lies ahead for The Hurt Business and whether the business is booming for them or not. Here in this slideshow, we will look at five possible feuds for the stable on WWE RAW. Do share your thoughts in the comments section below.

#5 Christian challenges Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship on WWE RAW

The story basically writes itself here. Christian was one of the participants who collectively eliminated Bobby Lashley from the Royal Rumble match. Entering that multi-man contest at number 24, Captain Charisma was one of the final four participants in the bout and showed how he hasn't lost a foot since hanging up his boots.

It makes all the sense in the world for the former two-time WWE World Champion to show up on RAW and claim a shot at Lashley's US Championship. Even the Champion, for that matter, has every reason to lay his hands on Christian, as he cost him the chance to main event WrestleMania.

A clash between the two is bound to be fantastic and worthy of The Grandest Stage of Them All. The buildup on WWE RAW could revolve around The Hurt Business mouthpiece MVP verbally taking down Christian and questioning his ability to stand against a mighty force like Lashley.

The story should ideally end on a feel-good note, with Christian winning the title at WrestleMania and proving his critics wrong.

#4 WWE RAW Superstars Jeff Hardy and Ricochet challenge The Hurt Business for the Tag Team Titles

Ricochet and Jeff Hardy have been struggling on WWE RAW in recent weeks.

The two stars have no direction and are just going through the motions on every episode. Both Ricochet and Hardy were eventually eliminated after several minutes, without scoring any eliminations. In such a case, the best way for them to find some momentum would be to form a tag team and chase after the RAW Tag Team Championships.

Recently on Twitter, The One and Only responded to a fan tweet by saying he would like to tag with The Charismatic Enigma on WWE RAW. Last week, the duo teamed up to face Elias and Jaxson Ryker on WWE Main Event, even if they came up short.

The New Day and RETRIBUTION are currently tangled in a feud on WWE RAW. WWE creative should be wise enough to bring the fan-favorite duo of Jeff Hardy and Riddle to the forefront against Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander (RAW Tag Team Champions) on the Road to WrestleMania 37.

#3 Carlito lays down a challenge to Bobby Lashley on WWE RAW

Carlito officially returned to WWE RAW in a match where he teamed up with Jeff Hardy to face Elias and Jaxson Ryker in a winning outcome. On Sunday during the Royal Rumble PPV, the former Intercontinental Champion showed up on WWE programming for the first time in over a decade.

Carlito is in tremendous physical shape and proved he can still go in the ring during both occasions. A performer of his level can easily be thrust into the upper mid-card title picture and become a viable challenger. With that in mind, a potential feud with U.S. Champion Bobby Lashley promises to be nothing less than entertaining.

His calm demeanor, in contrast with Lashley's no-nonsense attitude, could result in several fun segments on WWE RAW. Though they can clash at WrestleMania 37, the WWE creative can kickstart this feud sooner rather than later, as the two capable Superstars have the ability to keep the rivalry fresh even after a couple of months.

#2 AJ Styles and Omos challenge The Hurt Business for the Tag Team Titles on WWE RAW

AJ Styles and Omos are currently heels on WWE RAW, but this match seems to be best for business for more than one reason. Firstly, AJ Styles has been surprisingly directionless on WWE RAW since losing to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at TLC 2020.

During the buildup to Royal Rumble, The Phenomenal One faced various competitors who were eying to qualify for the PPV. In the match, Styles had a poor showing as he couldn't accumulate any elimination and lasted for a paltry 10 minutes.

Secondly, Styles has never won the Tag Team Championship in WWE, and it makes sense for him to eye the tag gold. And lastly, Omos' in-ring debut is being looked forward to by several fans, and they are waiting to see The Giant display his wrestling chops in the squared circle.

Hanging with three world athletes like Styles, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin will not only give him exposure but hide his deficiencies in the ring by letting others do the bulk of the job.

#1 Brock Lesnar returns to WWE RAW and challenges Bobby Lashley for a dream match

One of the most highly anticipated matches in WWE is that of Brock Lesnar taking on Bobby Lashley.

Though Lesnar and Lashley were on WWE RAW throughout 2018 and 2019, they never really came face-to-face. Also, one of the prime reasons why Lashley had signed on with WWE in 2018 was that he wanted to have a match against The Beast Incarnate.

However, the match never transpired due to Lesnar's part-time schedule and Lashley's lackluster booking. Wrestling a No. #1 contenders match against Roman Reigns on WWE RAW to determine Lesnar's opponent at SummerSlam 2018 was the closest Lashley came to face his dream opponent.

Now that the U.S. Champion is at the height of his dominance, a clash against Lesnar seems imminent. The former three-time Universal Champion was last seen in WWE at WrestleMania 36, where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.

With WrestleMania 37 nearing closer, the time seems apt to bring Lesnar back into the equation and book the dream match that everyone has been waiting for all this time. Yes, Lashley is currently the U.S. Champion, but the bout between the two can occur without the title on the line, as it doesn't really need any Championship to be relevant.
