5 reasons teaming with Enzo and Cass is good for Cena

The unlikely trio stands tall

As of late, John Cena has found some brand new allies in Enzo Amore and Big Cass, in the pursuit to take down The Club.

Enzo and Cass came to the rescue of Cena when the Club began a beat down on him on an episode of Raw a few weeks ago. Some people were worried for the teaming up of both parties because of the negative fan reaction John Cena can create for a star when he is paired with them.

Thankfully, the fan reaction has been good so far and it looks as though the pairing could be a great move by WWE. What does this all mean for the leader of the “Cenation” though?

Here are three reasons why it was a great idea to team the three up.

#5 Cena’s Credibility

Can Cena make a good name for himself?

Cean is described as a “polarizing” superstar within the WWE. Half the audience cheer him and the other half boo him, and they boo him hard. As noted above many people were worried Cena would destroy the momentum Enzo and Big Cass had created for themselves since being called up.

You don’t have to look that far back in time to see what Cena did for the Usos back in 2014. People began booing the Usos when they were teamed with Cena and made it seem as though whoever Cena was teamed with, he would ultimately stall their progression.

The majority of the crowd has been actually cheering for Cena since the paring which is quite a shock considering Cena’s past record. This can now make people believe that Cena can elevate a superstar/superstars to new heights.

Only time will actually tell.

#4 Cena creates Superstars

Rising stars, Enzo and Big Cass

It’s no big secret that many people believe that Cena has buried plenty of talent in the past and if he hasn’t buried them, he has considerably stalled their progression up the card.

Some simple examples are his feud with Bray Wyatt and his feud with Kevin Owens. Both feuds had stalled the respective Superstars rise to fame and all the blame has fallen back on Cena.

The fact that this pairing seems to be working out can let one assume that Cena is going to push Enzo and Cass right up the card.

He can raise the stock of both men, sell more merchandise for them and just being associated with the “franchise player” makes them stars – well in Vince’s eyes anyway.

And that’s always a big deal for any Superstar.

#3 It’s a blast from the past

Cena and his rapper gimmick

I’m sure many people remember John Cena using his rapper gimmick to get over with the crowd back in the early days of his career. It almost feel like when you see Enzo and Cass make their entrance to the ring, with microphones in hands and letting loose those rhymes and catchphrases lets some fans reminisce about John Cena’s rise to fame.

It can make many fans feel that if Cena can make it big with his gimmick, so can Enzo and Cass. For Cena it can make many fans remember a time when he was at, arguably, his most popular with them as well.

#2 Merchandise Sales

The man with the Merch

Cena is definitely the biggest merchandise seller as far as the company is concerned. And teaming him with Enzo and Cass may allow him to create merchandise to sell for the trio to earn an extra bit of cash.

Whatever Cena puts his face or name on something, it can be sure to sell, and this could end up being a nice little earner for all parties involved.

#1 It keeps Cena-Styles interesting

Explosive 6-man tag match

These days, the WWE has a bad habit of running singles matches in long-term feuds at two or three consecutive major events until they go stale. In this case, however, a six-man tag team match adds a fresh layer to the on-going Styles-Cena rivalry.

Since the two only fought once thus far, with the "Phenomenal One" going over at Money in the Bank, this bout will provide a nice bridge to a rematch between the two at SummerSlam.

What’s especially interesting about this is that being teamed in a match at Battleground allows for Cena to go over AJ Styles which could(maybe, just maybe) lead to AJ picking up the win at SummerSlam.
